Best Floor For Your Loft.

I think I found the best idea for loft flooring. Simple and effective and super easy to clean. Vinyl Sheet flooring from Lowe’s for 64 cents a square foot. Also an update on the newly hatched baby’s and an update on the young birds.

Went back to wood. It worked well for mopping and stuff but wood is easier and faster to scrape.

The new vinyl flooring looks great and works great. You can even buy a scraper with a long handle for even easier scraping and not to hurt your back.

Hey don't knock on the old timers as a new guy come on now. Wait and see how this floor works first. I've tried many different floors and I'm currently back to wood. Wood is still probably your best option. Absorbing moisture will rot wood true... But that's the point.. you want something that's going to absorb the wet droppings other wise it turns to a mess. Unless your able to stay on top of cleaning. I end up slacking from time to time. My first yr I was cleaning morning and night. During the season I usually still do. Just saying careful what you say and do. The old timers had their reasons. You seem like a straight shooter tho so I'm sure if you don't like it you'll admit any misunderstandings. Btw that roll out vinyl predates the both of us, so I don't think that's anything new or hasn't been tried. But it sure does look beautiful.

I wasn’t knocking anyone. I said there is nothing wrong with sticking with your ways but that I want to try something to make cleaning easier and faster. But yes if it doesn’t work out I’ll be the first to say that. I also think you’re thinking of that old laminate flooring that used to be in every kitchen in America lol. Not so far I’ve actually cleaned more since putting it down because it’s so easy. I was cleaning every other day now I go in there and give that section a quick clean daily because it’s so easy, we’ll see though. Like you said I could get to a point where I can’t get out there to clean daily and maybe I’ll want wood for that. Time will tell. A few videos back I explained how we got rats because of the chickens from rookie mistakes with that so I’m using that experience as well with the pigeons and the only way to avoid rodents with outdoor birds is excessive cleanliness IMO and grated flooring where feed can sit for days will bring rats eventually. They’ll find it. They chewed through the bottom of my shed to get to the chicken feed and then it was a nightmare to get rid of them because I couldn’t use poison so I’m vehemently against anything that allows feed to sit for days at a time. Once we moved the chicken feed into a metal can the rats burrowed under the chicken coop and got into the chicken coop and they brought disease and we had chickens dropping like flys. We had to rehome all the chickens that were left and revamp everything and start over. My videos are like episodes a past video will help you understand my decisions in a later video but I get how I could have come off like it was a shot at someone.

a sick bird would hardly ever rest on one foot, secondly heavier than normal young bird always loses weight in order to fly easily.
