Best exhaust for your 4.3 V6

In this video I was only testing out my new Gopro suction cup mount on my truck. After realizing that it picked up the exhaust sound pretty well, I decided to show you guys how it sounds, and explain my setup on the 4.3 V6. I did get some wind noise in the video that I tried to get rid of, but at 50mph you cant really avoid that.
Hope you enjoy the video, If you use the suction cup mount it is a good idea to secure it with a rope incase the suction fails.
The setup
-Stock TBI 4.3L V6 in my 1993 S10.
-Old style open element air filter.
-Stock Y pipe
-Jones glass-pack where the factory cat went
-No other mufflers or cats.
-2 1/4" single exhaust pipe that runs all the way back to the bumper
The choppy idle is probably a sign of the engine running rich, not knowing how to deal with the free flowing exhaust. I only get a check engine light on if I let it idle for too long. As far as the glass-pack, I put it on backwards by mistake, and it was not much louder than the stock cat. Before this I just had one cat to muffle the sound, which I really liked, but it decided to fall apart inside and rattle. So with the Jones style glass-pack, it has louvers inside that guide the exhaust to the outside of the muffler where the packing is, so it will make a difference which way you put it on. A Cherry bomb or Thrush style glass-pack just has a straight pipe going through the muffler with cross holes drilled in, so it does not matter what way you put it on, and they are usually louder. Mine did make a whistle noise for a short time but then it went away. Over time the glass-pack will break in and get louder. In my opinion, the 4.3 does not sound good straight piped, with stock manifolds at least, too raspy, with any kind of muffler it will really help the tone, and the longer your exhaust is past the muffler, the more it will pop or wrap when you decelerate. Great looking truck! How is the noise in the cab with it being in facory cat location? Ive been thru 5 different configurations/ mufflers on my 91 s10 and cant find a good sound. When you say jones glasspack do you mean the flowpack?

Jones is the brand, no bad drone, it's not even that loud. I meant to say that this brand or style have louvers, if you look inside it's all bumpy. A cherry bomb is a straight smooth pipe with holes drilled all around so that the outer packing muffles the sound. But that style actually doesn't muffle as good as this style. Thanks for watching!
Just put a brand new 4.3 vortex in my 97 Chevy 2 wheel drive want to know what kind of headers to put on it short or long and what brand anybody can help I would appreciate it thanks 👍

Headers on a tbi or OBD2 efi setup won't really gain you any power without a tune. BUT... it'll sound good at least. Short tubes are good for a truck application, but I've always liked the sound of long tubes, can't beat it. The problem with a 6cyl vs a V8 though is high rpms they get raspy, like a tractor, but with a good muffler like a flow master 40 it'll sound good. Glasspack might be too "derby car" sounding. I would go 2.5" exhaust pipe too to try and get a deep sound. I only have 2 1/4 but I like how mine sounds. But I only have stock manifolds so it's about as good as it can be.

No cat, Jones glass pack where the cat was, then 2 ¼ pipe all the way to the bumper. I think I put the glass pack on backwards by accident but it made it quieter, basically the same as having just a cat and nothing behind it.
The best exhaust. Is no exhaust
