When I was in High School we had a "Military" Marching Band, but my youngest is in a "Show Band", and I have seen some pretty flashy stuff at their competitions, but nothing like this.
Cool tricks and lots of talent, but still... the uniforms are pretty lame.

Many people miss the fact that during the sequence at 5:00 every drummer is playing his drum, PLUS the one on EACH SIDE, WITH BOTH HANDS. Perfect synchronicity. This clip is from the 2012 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (the 60th anniversary of Elizabeth II's reign)

Ah, they are favourites at the Royal Military Tattoo, but they are not British. They are actually from Switzerland and are called 'The Top Secret Drum Corps'. The British drum Corps are the 'Royal Marines Corps of Drums'. Very good also, but a bit more 'stiff upper lip' than these guys who add a little fun and panache to their performance. Edit: There would be a monumental outcry if the Superbowl Halftime performance was not from the USofA.z

It was not perfectly performed -- e.g. dropped stick, poor alignment on recovery moves. Without the Super Bowl, there will be no halftime show you stupid fucking dumbass
Oh wow. Just amazing. They worked extremely hard to be able to give this flawless exhibition.
Everyone wants to be a “star” but to be a part of something bigger than yourself like this is in itself another form of discipline - glad to see this concept has not been lost on some of our youth today.
The Swiss Drum Corp was formed in 1990 by enthusiastic drummers from the Swiss city of Basel. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. This is the most incredible drumming formation I have ever seen. Let us not forget that the soldiers who protect His Holiness the Pope are Swiss guards. Their colorful uniform was originally designed by the Renaissance artist Michelangelo. Thank you for posting.

I happen to think these guys were marvelous and gave a thumbs up but I don't have any ill feelings for those with contrasting opinions. They are the very best I've seen: and I've seen hundreds. For 5 years, i marched in a prevision drill team. We traveled most of the time with a great drum and bugle corp. We covered a tri state area Practice was 3x a week after school until dark or?. Then parades on the weekend. We also did requested performances. These were exciting, memorable times. Keeping those lines straight is no easy task. As well as doing those maneuvers, while playing. This video made my day. Thank you. Will be looking foward to more hopefully.
Skill isn't just in sports. Marching bands, drumlines, etc have skill too. This is the proof! ✅

Same exact feeling I had "...the best ever" hmmm. Let's see. Poster video is 99% correct. I looked in his description and he thought the costumes were lame and I thought they were fabulous because they were musketeers and fit perfectly with the story and they looked great. Besides, the dark blue and white contrast made easy to see the contrast of the movements. One guys feather was at a slight different angle than the other guys perfectly aligned feathers. That's the only thing I could find. Amazing it was only him.

This brings back memories. Had the pleasure of witnessing the Top Secret Drum Corps from Switzerland at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo back in 2018. Full on standing ovation. They are truly brilliant 👏 👏
My ex-husband used to compete with drum corps. back in the 70's. I saw some of the best back then & I can tell you these guys are excellent!
The dedication and work that went into this is mind blowing.
I run the drumline at my school because the music teacher left so we have no music teacher to run band or drumline. We got a volunteer to run the band and I decided to start up the drumline. It only consist of 7 people but that's good because we don't have that many drums. It's kinda sad actually but everyone in it enjoys it so... wish we could play as good as this drumline😂😂

Cathy Yue Remember that showmanship is a big part of a successful performance. If you guys at least look good then people who can't tell the difference with the sound will still think you're good. As for better sound, work on rudiments for skill and make sure everyone listens toward the center snare and lines themselves up as close as possible.
