Hello everyone!
Let me begin with some apologies. It’s been a he’s since I’ve uploaded: I have to blame my perfectionism more than anything. I took ages to edit this video; it’s a long one and compilation of a lot of things and I wanted it to be perfect and the best it could be.
I filmed a lot of this during the winters: I thought I had to say that because I’m wearing big coats every time 😅 I have since visited a lot of other stores as well but I just wanted to post this video now cause otherwise it would never have finished.
Hope you are doing well 🙂
I’ve been traveling a lot, working a lot and have been basically part of the hustle culture as I’m trying to figure out how to love life, and that’s why reading has taken a back log. Every day I wake up, I miss being with a book and I promise myself I will read today no matter what and by night time, I’m too tired to process words. This is the reason I haven’t taken part in Jane Austen July.
This reminds me Persuasion; the Netflix film is out. I started watching the film and have left it in the middle. I’ll try to finish it now but I was pretty annoyed with what I saw: nothing unexpected.
Hope you enjoy this video and hope the new video doesn’t take this long to get uploaded x

Beautiful video! There are many bookstores featured here that I would love to visit. If you get the chance, I highly recommend checking out the main Daunt Books in Marylebone. It is such a beautiful space and I love how they group books by country/place rather than a conventional genre sorting. No worries on your English speaking - it's difficult even for native speakers. I live in America and speak American English but sometimes am told my pronunciation is not correct because I have never heard the word said out loud...only read it in a book! So we are all learning. :)

Absolutely beautiful video 🌸. I love seeing bookshops and looking at the books. Journal of the plague year is excellent and surprisingly easy to read. It’s interesting to see the same personalities in the plague and covid. I enjoyed The Winds of Heaven by Monica Dickens. I’m an American married to an Irish man and live in Ireland. Every few days my husband says Do we speak the same language? Every county has a different accent and some are easier than others.

🤣Trust me, you're not the only English speaking person who has been challenged with British dialects and slang. Hoover is a name brand of a vacuum cleaner. In the state I live, some elderly people call a vacuum cleaner a "sweeper". I thought that was a broom. LOL I bought A Journal of a Plague Year this year. I wasn't aware of it until I saw it on the bookshelf at a discount bookstore. And another new to me title, that I bought, is Hope Leslie by Catharine Maria Sedgwick. Have you heard of it? Like your Doc Marten boots! Those were popular when I was young. Are they ba Is your friend a book lover as well? Sogood to see you again.

I have t heard of that book, unfortunately. Those boots are a knock off for Doc Martens but I do really like them: needed them for the rainy days. My friend does read but usually self help and non fiction 😊
