We also live trapped our mice. It was a bit problematic keeping them as it was winter. As soon as the snow melted I released them in the wild. It snowed the next week and was cold for another month - our poor mice! They had a chance at life though, and in the least fed other animals if they didn't freeze/starve to death. I also noticed the big difference in young as opposed to 'veteran' mice when it came to cautiousness. It was very hard to finely trap the matriarch, but I did. Boy-O-boy, she was pissed off at me. p.s. Peanut butter is the 'food of the gods' for rodents.

If the tubes were on a hinge the trap would be re-usable without having to fetch the tubes each time. Obviously this system is working well.

Yeah, you could hinge a pvc pipe up, but it may not be as effective

This guy says to turn the mice free in the forest to avoid killing them. Those mice won’t have long to live turned loose out there. Just saying, you’ve pretty much got no choice but to get rid of them somehow.

Yeah, mice travel very far to return to the house and then breed like crazy once they do. Or end up in someone else's house. I don't know why people bother to live trap mice in urban areas.

Why not affix tubes permanently and then catch more mice. Also put about 4” of water in bucket so they don’t get thirsty.

Rats are not only clever, but fearful of new things and probably won't bother to touch the trap. They tend to watch things for days, to study them.

You have to put water in the bottom…I’ve seen a few creative mice stack the toilet rolls to make a pathway up and out!!! I’m just saying…

This is lame. You need to have it automatically reset each time. Get some hinges for the rolls and you won't have to keep putting them back with more tape each time!!

This looks great, but the mice over here are to smart for this. And if the stupidiest mouse will use it after all, it will warn the others to stay away! The mice over hete are smart! 🤯🤯
