Ken looks totally badass, the Kaplan Rambo... I'd like to see a video of you talking about your riding skills and your 'thought process' on learning riding skills. I'd like to hear all the mishaps that you've had (I bet that would be a long vid..) Always impressed by your knowledge and angle of thinking with any bike you review. Thank you so much for all your vids. Well Done...

Great bikes, I have q 2018 in the yellow & black. Your comments about pipes and other drivers is spot on. I was a firefighter EMT-I for many years. I've also seen people turn right into motorcycles and even T-Bone city cabs at intersections, so bright colors don't always do the trick... but if they hear it, then there is a chance they'll at least pause and that second could save a rider.

That exhaust sounds killer, I always thought about keeping the original exhaust in my klr but that sound is giving me second thoughts!, I crossed the whole of Brazil in a KLR, two-up with my wife, including the amazonas and I can tell you the KLR is the bike to go to the end of the world and more! I put over 10k miles in the trip from Venezuela to Argentina and back, changed tires and sprockets only, it is the best bike ever, I may buy some others but I am keeping my KLR no matter what! Cheers, love your channel!

Red Roberts, being in shape and being careful about what you put in your body eating right and exercising is it actually the exact opposite of being selfish I've taught my children had to take care of themselves they are all beautiful children in fact all three of them work with me and so does my girlfriend Christie there's absolutely no other lifestyle I'd rather live. I do exercise almost every day at least 30 minutes sometimes 40 but never more than an hour and that doesn't take away from my family time in fact it makes me a better more well-adjusted physically present person when I'm with them both of my parents died young at 59 and 62 because they didn't take care of themselves they drink and smoke that's my definition of being selfish is when you don't take care of yourself and you're not there for the people you love... if you're in terrible shape it's never too late to start and to extend your life 55 is the new 35

I would agree that those are the swiss army knives of the motorcycle world...if you are dead set on 60%off road the xr is the better choice but if you ride a lot of miles on the road the klr is going to be a better fit .these bikes are underrated for the smiles per miles factor....when I ride a heavy bike off road it is fun to see just where its limits are and then ride a pace just under that.

The KLR especially the second generation like this is a street bike with high fenders. It is marginally better than a Vstrom off road as it weighs way too much at 432 lbs., and because of the stock gearing slow speed technical riding is out of the question. His comment about riding it on a moto cross track was a good one as the bike had no resemblance to anything you would ride on a track. One aggressive lap and you may have a broken bike or body, or both, Lol.

I hadn't been riding my CR250R 2 Stroke for the past few years because I am in my 40s and I just got tired of hurting myself. So I went ahead and got a Gen 3 KLR this spring, so far took the snorkel out and a Delkavic 8" carbon Fiber Exhaust and its really opened the bike up for more fun. The new Gen 3 KLR is Fuel injected and the Hard Paniers that the adventure comes with are stronger than you would think. I rode off into some soft stuff and the front tire sunk in the sand and I dropped it right on the hard panier and it didn't crack at all. I also did the eagle mike fork brace after that, because I felt like that is what set me down in the soft sand. The Delkavic exhast does make the Gen 3 8" does pop and snort a bit, but I am hoping someone figures out a way to flash the ecu or maybe I will go with the JDJets Fuel injection fuel map alteration kit on it. Curious if you have played with the new Gen3 at all? The next thing I am going to have to do is Tires, the stock Tires only last about 1k miles.

I agree with you on all your videos, but I had one of these new back in around 2000, the dark green one, and I thought it was gutless, just wasn’t impressive for a 650 single,, By the way I have a 90 Honda CR500 for sale $3700 if your interested

I'll take the CR! Call me at your earliest convenience 860-916-9784... and you're absolutely correct when their stock they run absolutely horribly we are experts at what we do and we had to get the carburetor twice and make a bunch of adjustments and we went through for exhaust systems to get it just right but once it's right there in absolute
