I don't know how heavy you are, but I'm 230 lb 6 ft 5, and my 2023 KLR 650 would leave yours in the dust. When you show the acceleration that was terrible. Maybe it's the video or short shifting but I doubt it. Your bike didn't even sound like it was trying as hard. After seeing that part of the video if that were my bike I would be looking at the throttle linkage to make sure you're actually getting Full Throttle. In first gear if I snap the throttle and hold it I will flip the bike over backwards. Second gear it won't exactly get it up enough to ride a wheelie but will hold a torque wheelie for the first second or so of second gear. In second if I dump the clutch I can definitely ride a wheelie. But my bike can get up to 90 mph pretty damn fast. I don't know how far off the speedometer is but it tops out at 98 mph. It's weird though, it gets to 90 really quick and then kind of drags that last 8 miles an hour.

I agree. I have 2023 as well. Very fast. I was shocked because I was expecting it to be much slower. From what I understand, the 2023s have a taller 5th gear so this would account for the higher end difference from previous years. Never rode an earlier year, however. I was really reluctant buying this because of talk of lack of power. Not only am I not disappointed, but I'm so happy with the excelleration on freeway. Especially the pull from 75 mph to 90 mph. I'm 230 lbs. as well. 6'2". So, if the bike in the video is a 2022 model, then there is a big difference between the 2022 and 2023. This is great information for those looking to buy. @@claudenoble9351 the odometer reads correctly but the speedometer reads about 4 mph fast.
