Surf fishing,or off the end of a pier, with a 12 foot rod, I use 17pound test line, tied to 25 feet of 50pound shock leader, with a wire leader on the end, Albright knot all day works great. 👍 Nice Video.

I like the look of the Twisted Braid knot. Not sure of its strength, but seems to bury the briad into the wraps of the leader. This should alleviate the damage to the braid when casting as it runs thru the guides.

Exactly, it doesn't matter how many turns because the weak part is the overhand. The second one is even worse because the leader makes the turns so it's really big and the surplus is perpendicular to the main line

None of those knots are worth a crap and I wouldn't use any of them. There's only two knots you need to learn to tie braid to a leader, and that's the crazy Alberto knot and the FG knot. Both of those are far superior to any of the knots that you tied here. Use the FG knot when tying a heavy leader to braid. Such as 80 lb fluorocarbon to braid when you are pike fishing, and you use an Crazy Alberto knot when you're tying lines of similar diameters, like 12 lb fluoro to 20 lb braid. If you test these two knots against any other knot you'll find their far superior.
