    leader terlalu banyak simpulan, sudah test kekuatan? takut tidak mampu menampung kekuatan asal leader... albright knot juga sudah tidak berbaloi sekarang sebab braided cepat putus kalah dengan leader... rugi kalau putus waktu menarik ikan... main line dan leader putus selalunya di sebabkan ikatan.. dulu saya guna albright sekarang FG knot, sekiranya knot saudara ni bagus saya nak cuba juga, anyway tengkiu for the video tutorial... nanto cuba knot saurada and test kekuatan ikatan...

    The IGFA version was tied with a Bimini loop on the braid going to the leader in 15lb braid to 30lb leader and 50lb braid to 80lb leader. Just to clarify to some of these people who need to know what variation was used when it beat the FG and PR knot.

    I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzread.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

    This knot tied with a uni knot in the braid. Known as the GT knot was the tested knot. And it’s suggested to trim tight to the knot after repeated tightening rather than melting tag ends.

    We've used this knot in South Africa since Noah's Ark, though always with a uni on the braid side, never a clinch. If you insist on the clinch, then you must double the braid over, preferably in bimini, to eliminate clinch weakness. However, using a uni, no need for doubled braid. Strong as hell. Does not go well through guides, best suited for long rods if you want a long leader, knot hanging just below rod.

    My thought too. I’m not a big fan of the clinch, unless it is an improved clinch. The improved clinch snugs the braid down tighter. Atta way, mate. Good from from an Ohio angler!!

    From my understanding the GT shouldbe fig 8 on one end and uni knot (not clinch) at the other end.. I see your pinned comment on uni or clench but does it still make it the GT knot ?

  • @GeneFishingTV

    Yes as long as the process are there, other anglers can customize as long as figure 8 is there.. even my figure 8 is advance to make it more stronger.

    The braid is pulling against the figure of 8 in the flouro. A thicker knot than the fg, don't fancy popping with that rattling through the rod rings all day!

  • @DaRealMaverick

    @DaRealMaverick

    Yep, the GT is a little harsh on the guides. I literally did a tug of war test with mono in the middle and braid at each end, one side tied with the fg and the other with gt. FG won everytime, 24-0. We went through about a dozen different line strength combos, heaviest being 80 lb braid to 60 lb mono. 12 with a bimini twist added and 12 without. It didn't matter, the FG won everytime. From what I read about the testing, submitted knots could have any assortment of glues applied. I'm thinking the winning GT used something that wasn't disclosed.

    Maverick Quartero or they used fg knots that were tied incorrectly. In my opinion once your fold or knot the leader material, that becomes the weakest point. Hence Gt knot will never be in the same ball park.

    Nope. Can cause a bass fisherman to loose a lure. I only use the advanced Alberto. It’s thin and the leader breaks before the knot will break or give

    Good luck with wind knots. I don't like any connections that result in the leader tag pointing out at a 90° angle. Also you better put some crazy glue on the braid tag end because after it gets fluffy and works out the last wrap of the clinch you're done. Breaking strength in pulling machine tests don't really impress me. When testing my knots I look at all the factors encountered during actual fishing conditions. I've never seen one of those tests that used wet lines. I wet my line for braid and work it over rough angles like you might experience when getting ledger by a big fish, yanking to mimick big head shakes and running over abrasive objects like bricks or rough sand paper. Then there's ease of tying. Try to tie an FG for example standing on a rocking chair with someone pushing the chair and throwing water in your face in low light. Now that's a real test. But bottom line is you should use the knot you believe in and can tie blindfolded. Most properly tied knots don't actually break but the line usually breaks first. As long as your knot is consistently breaking 50-75% above your line weight you're good to go IMHO

    I have been using this knot for many years. However I run a braid leader of average 6 to 8 meters. So pe 6 braided leader onto pe 3 mainline braid with this Gt knot. I use knot pullers to sinch it down. If it is locked up properly it works beautifully. The knot is tiny and runs perfectly through my guides with no issue . The 8 wraps forward and seven back make it tiny in profile yet strong. I am using this knot for shore - game kingfish.Its fast to tie and effective just pull it down tight before you cut tags.

  • @GeneFishingTV

    @GeneFishingTV

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes it's true buddy, GT knot is not advisable for passing thru guides. What I do I only use 1 meter leader so I cast using the braid. Apart from that vertical jogging, trolling even heavy fishing this line is super strong

  • @shutyofacejerk
    @shutyofacejerk2 жыл бұрын

    is it true that the igfa did the tests with different strength lines. I had heard the fg was superior for heavier line but not lighter. that went to the gt

  • @GeneFishingTV

    @GeneFishingTV

    I also use FG on heavier setup maybe because it's my own preference and I believe any knots strength depends on how an angler tie it. It happens to me a very long time ago when I'm new with FG knot my leader and lure flew away together😂

    FG Knot is king and an Aussie dude has made a device that makes tying the FG literally for 5 year old - I have it " FG Whizz" - and none of my tests has the knot failed other than WAY above the test. It is super quick and easy to do, and has NEVER let me down. Sure everyone has their fave knot, but do real world scientific testing etc and compare any other knot to the FG and I would be very surprised if any other knot beat it.

    Yo uso el nudo zanahoria mejorado,puedo decir que es prácticamente igual de bueno que el fg y mas facil de hacer. Es similar al de este video,solo que doy unas 10/12 vueltas hacia abajo con el trenzado sobre el nailon ( igual que aquí) y después otras 10/12 hacia arriba. El nudo inicial que hago en el nilon también es diferente,hago un nudo simple pero con 2 vueltas,lo cierro poco a poco hasta que se forma un 8 y paso el trensado por medio de los 2 buques que se formaron, aun que el nudo inicial de este vídeo también podría servir.

    I loved the double uni snd Crazy Alberto knot until I started testing them against the FG knot. There's no doubt the FG is better in my mind for casting with mono/fluoro to braid and I was very resistant to it for years until I finally forced myself to learn it. Tied properly you can't beat it and I'll put any amount of money on it as long as I'm doing the tying. That said for other applications/situations I still think the double uni or modified Albright knot is superior.

  • @agostonzg
