From this list i have Golden campine and Fayoumi. I must say they are amazing. When my Golden Campine started laying egg she used to lay egg almost every day 💖 We don't expect that a newly egg laying hen will lay egg everyday but she did 💖

I live in Arizona at 4,300-foot elevation. I pick laying breeds based on their ability to handle temperatures below 0 to above 100. 1) Americauna Eggs/Meat Cold tolerant Good forager. 2) Ancona Eggs Hot/Cold Aggressive forager. 3) Andalusian Eggs Hot/Cold Aggressive forager. 4) Barnevelder Eggs/Meat Hot Good forager. 5) White Leghorn Eggs Hot/Cold Good forager. 6) Marans Eggs/Meat Hot Good forager. 7) New Hampshire Red Eggs/Meat Cold Good forager. 8) Norwegian Jaerhon Eggs Hot/Cold Good forager. 9) Orpington Eggs/Meat Cold Good forager. 10) Barred Plymouth Rock Eggs/Meat Hot/Cold Good forager. 11) Rhode Island Red Eggs/Meat Hot/Cold Good forager. 12) Welsumer Eggs/Meat Hot/Cold Aggressive forager. 13) Wyandotte Eggs/Meat Cold Good forager. Also, the cost per chick (mixed run) and the availability due to the lack of hatcheries where I live.

How do you not list Australorp. It holds the record for most eggs in a year. (364 eggs in 365 days)

One Australorp was recorded doing that in Australia. No other Australorp ever came close to laying that many eggs in a year again. The White Leghorn holds the world record for laying 371 eggs in 364 days. White Leghorns all lay about 300 or more eggs per year. That is in the first year of laying eggs. But I agree that Australorp belongs on the list because they will lay about 250 eggs a year.

Well looked after Australorps lay approximately 250 light-brown eggs per year. A new record was set when a hen laid 364 eggs in 365 days. They are also known to be good nest sitters and mothers, making them one of the most popular large, heritage utility breeds of chicken.

Isa Browns they lay 340-350+ a year. Australops, Barred Rocks, Buffs, and so many more breeds that are better layers than the ones listed.

There is no red Ameraucana. There is a Brown Red and it looks nothing like the "Ameraucana" pictured in this video. That bird is an Easter Egger. To see the accepted colors: ameraucanaalliance.org/photos.html

Fayoumi is the best

Golden sexlinks are amazing chickens for eggs.

I think the video meant to say best breeds for eggs only. Astrolope and Rhode Island Red are dual purpose breeds m. That might be why they are not listed.

I trust Mr Bejenaru is in one of the countries that use the British Standard for Araucana given the picture. In the USA they MUST have ear tufts (no beard or muff) AND be rumpless (ie NO tail). The British Standard allows tailed or rumpless but must be bearded with muffs. They are closer to the USA standard for Ameraucana. I also don't think the Easter Egger pictured is going to lay 210 eggs a year, it is a rooster. Of course so is the "Araucana" that is pictured.

That wasn't an Araucana, and you didn't list many of the 250+ chickens available (Australorp, Rocks, Wyandottes). This video was very uninformative

Levi Radford yes it is an Araucana rooster. Uk and Australian standard though.
