Israel's style of public relations: 1. We haven't heard reports of deaths, will check into it; 2. The people were killed, but by a faulty Palestinian rocket/bomb; 3. OK we killed them, but they were terrorists; 4. OK they were civilians, but they were being used as human shields; 5. OK there were no fighters in the area, so it was our mistake. But we kill civilians by accident, they do it on purpose; 6. OK we kill far more civilians than they do, but look at how terrible other countries are! 7. Why are you still talking about Israel? Are you some kind of anti-semite? Test this against the next interview you hear or watch. Adam Johannes, Secretary, Stop the War Coalition

Israel controls water, electricity, sewage, telephones and internet, the airspace, the coast and the sea. It has limited the import of food, medicine, animal feed, fertilizer, pipes, cement and other building material, construction and farming equipment and parts required for maintenance, and fuel for heating and cooking, and powering vehicles. Fishing is prohibited beyond 3 km from the coast and there is a 300 meter free fire zone on the Gazan side of the fence, meaning anyone who goes nearer can be and are shot. Many have been shot and killed up to 1.5 km from the from the fence. Israel controls who can leave and enter and permissions are arbitrarily approved or denied with no explanations given or process to appeal. And Israeli fighter jets regularly "buzz" the strip, i.e. fly at supersonic speed low over the buildings in the middle of the night. Gaza is not just an open-air prison, it's an open-air torture chamber. And this has been the case not since 7 October, but since 2006.

it's because Joe is an anti semitic Zionist. He is old enough to have grown up when anti semitism was more prevalent in America. It's why he mocked Bibi's jewishness by saying he, "is going to have a come to Jesus moment". It's why Joe has said that Israel is the only safe space for Jews in light of the synagogue shootings, without advancing gun laws. It's because Joe wants Jews in America to leave and go to Israel, just like the Nazis did after WW2, and anti semites like Balfor from the UK. It sounds strange, but Joe is more of a creature of that time than the modern day. Joe Biden is older than the state of Israel, and the idea that he is an anti semite is the only thing that explains all his actions. There are still lots of modern day anti semites Zionist like Ann Coulter. They are far from all gone and we need to acknowledge that.

I'm not saying that his death wasn't tragic, but it pales in comparison to everything else. Part of me thinks this might fall under the "have your villain kick a puppy" logic. that deaths and suffering on that scale are unimaginable, so people just tune it out, but something small, personal and relatable gets a bigger reaction because it's capable of being processed. so (weirdly) maybe seeing Nut-yahoo push over some old lady might do more to get people to care than everything else he's done so far.

I think it has everything to do with polls telling Biden to change course. But he needed an excuse to act. This was an event that was so clearly out of bounds it made it easier for him to draw a line.

It is not about the lesser of two evils. People should vote by their conscience. I cannot vote for a candidate that has made the US complicit in a genocide. I would vote for a third party candidate to clear my conscience.

POTUS Biden should just do exactly what Senator Sanders and Schumar are telling him to do as if it came from the word of G-d Herself ! As a Bernie Bros. former Marine, practicing Catholic I DEMAND THIS of OUR President, my fellow Catholic.
