Thank you everybody and thank you to Vic Firth, Craviotto drums, Sabian Cymbals, Remo heads, and Drum Workshop hardward! It was a pleasure to play with the Airmen of Note at my PASIC clinic/performance. I hope you have or you'll get the album Live N' Bernin' by my big band The BBB Featuring Bernie Dresel featuring this tune in the video, Crossing the Boulevard, written and arranged by Andrew Neu! You can get the CD, Blu-Ray Pure Audio 5.1/9.1 Surround, Vinyl, Reel-to-Reel Tape, and digital downloads at CDBaby, Amazon, Elusive Disc, TapeProject, and iTunes.

This is the drummer for the film Whiplash! I’m so happy he’s finally been credited! I could right away when I heard this and the give away was the use of double bass in the film even though it had a single pedal. He uses one in his own stuff so that’s amazing! I feel complete!

@@bg357wg The credited drummer under “Varèse Sarabande” record label for whiplash’s soundtrack is Bernie Dresel. Miles Teller did drum, but he drummed over a pre-recorded track, the track you hear in the film. And he’s about 1/10th the drummer of Bernie, but the editing sold it that he played well, that’s why they won the Oscar for best editing.

My own Tama®/Hoshino® six-piece (IMB 22E; IMT 08A, 10A, 12A; IMF 14A, 16A; IMS 145) is also set with a military cock to the snare, albeit with Evans®/D'Addario® EC2S tom and HD snare batters to endure Vic Firth® Corpsmaster® snare/quad sticks - the SRHN Ralph Hardimon model was my previous go-to and as of 22 November 2017 I'm testing out the SRC Roger Carter model.
