    Nijgadh is our need. It is important for us. India has always been against Nijgadh airport like they were for other projects in past. To stop the project India is funding the NGOs and our so-called new generations are brainwashed by these NGOs. So happy to see professionals like Kishore Thapa sir in favor of Nijgadh International Airport.

    @@asadshetty That's how geopolitics works. Every big country tries to destabilize its neighboring countries because that's how they profit. If Nepal was to achieve political stability, our economy would prosper and we would start relying on India lesser than we do now. That's bad for them. Like some African kid said - "THIS IS BUSINESS!"

    @@ag1879 No the thing is Nepal has to rely on India even if it's economy prospers as it's landlocked, if Nepali politicians were intelligent enough they would put all their eggs in service industry ie IT industry as this dosent need any dependence on India or china,but Nepali politicians will not do that as they need corruption to go on, I as a Indian feel Nepal has tremendous potential but ur leaders r taking u down.

    It can help in Economic Boom as more if we can add railway line direct Delhi to Nijgadh and Nijgadh to Kathmandu. Also 2% of loss of Forest occupied land by airport can be replaced from the housing sector of people .

    Sushant ji, don’t you think it is a good time to call CK Raut to the show? We and our government has failed to listen to what Madeshi have to say. I am eager to listen to your conversation with Dr. Raut. Specially, about the issue of succession of Madesh(Terai region). I think you ask very practical and realistic questions and you can enlighten young Nepalese on this important and critical issue.     Bro Pokhara and Bhairawa is regional international airport not fully international airport they have minimum destination we need direct connectivity to European and american countries to increase tourist and trade.

    Until builders present us an iron-clad EIA and DPR that addresses the challenges of this construction and justifies the need of cutting millions of trees for (i.e. 8000 hectares as opposed to less than 2000 hectares), it is not unwarranted for Nepali people to demand more clarity and transparency for an investment out of our own pockets. A couple of facts here: Fact #1: The EIA (which I've read + researched) has blatantly copy pasted hydropower proposals to the extent where under mitigation measures are listed geographical limitations that pertain to the mountainous landscape rather than to the flat terai where Nijgadh is proposed to be built. Under those mitigation measures the EIA also has assurances that if the airport staff does not leave food on the floor, there is no risk of elephants entering the premises. Fact #2: While an ornithologist (bird expert) was not consulted for the EIA for Nijgadh, a forest with many species of birds, the TIA has had to hold airports in their parking lot for months upon the interference of a single bird entering a plane engine. Fact #3: While the proposed area for the airport is around 8000 hectares, the world's most frequented airports such as Heathrow and ATL spreads across less than a fourth of that at 1200 and 2000 hectares.

    I think The facts that youths leaving country in droves, and about Nepal being poorest country in asia is more concerning than consulting with a bord expert or elephants path. But then, priorities of each individual might be sifferent.EIAs are made to minimize the damage due to construction, not to oppose construction altogether. Theres and issue regarding EIA, then we talk about EIA, we dont talk about stopping the project.

    I really don't get this anti nijgad airport stuff as the airport brings a lot of rewards. Yeah, i accept that natural resources are to be sacrificed for this and a lot of species are gonna get risked for this and yeah i have no knowledge about these environmental stuff but for this kind of big project obviously there has been a full feasibility test and there is no possibility of development without any destruction. But just see the brighter sides. This project would bring new opportunities. The tourism industry would boom and the trade sector would also be benefited And this airport means that nijgad would be the next big thing in Nepal aside from Kathmandu Kathmandu and Kathmandu. It seems a bit ambitious but it is too good to not be done.

    @@babbintandukar9959 TIA is very old airport and TIA officers already said now TIA can't handle air traffic we need new international airport near to Kathmandu have capacity to run in any weather conditions having double runway have capacity to land any big jumbo jets. This airport plan is to be a transit hub of SA like Hongkong,Singapore they are earnings millions dollar every year. Gov plan is to make this airport in 75% private investor and rest will be funded by gov. Zurich airport of Switzerland is very much interested to make this airport but so called💲environmentalist and covid has stopped to build this airport. This airport is going to built in BOOT system (Build Own Operate Transfer).

    This is irresponsible for such "expert" to give out such false information.. we need hospitals,, better health ,schools, roadlinks,, industries,, ecotourism,, anti corruption modalities, better reproductive health policies, agriculture infrastructure..but what we are getting from these experts are ways to increase inflation and debts .. shame.

    Nepal is developing countries we need money to develop our country and taking loan is not a bad thing if we utilize it in productive sector like infrastructure. This is not just a airport it is a transit hub and life line of Nepal. We have already seen 4 times economic blockade from India and to tackle that Nijgadh airport is the way for us. We can do direct trade with other countries by importing,exporting goods from big jumbo cargo jets.

    " बिकास को नाम मा बिनास !!!! " - People have Option to walk , travel by vehicle or use some other domestic airport. - Destroying large ecosystem in name of international airport is not so good idea.

    कृपया कसैले मलाई जानकारी गरी दिनुपर्यो कि एउटा ठूलो सालको रूखको मूल्य कति पर्छ होला ? जबकि रु. 2,600 क्युविक फिट पर्छ भने, मेरो अनुमानमा कमसेकम पनि एउटा रूखको मूल्य 50 लाख पर्न आउँछ होला। साधारण हिसाब गर्दा पनि 24 लाख रूखहरूको मूल्य 50 लाखको दरले रु. 1,20,00,00,00,00,000 (1 नील 20 खर्ब) पर्न आउँछ ! यति ठूलो रकम के गर्छ होला ? यी राष्ट्रवादी भनाउँदा नेताहरूले बाँडिचुँडि गर्ने त होला नि ! अनि फेरि विमानस्थल बनाउँने नाममा रिन लिने त होला नि !
