I've been running a Shootout for about a year and a half now. It gets regular use at work as my "assault box-cutter" Cardboard and tape are way harder on an edge than you'd expect but the CPM Cruwear blade has been incredibly resilient, as has the coating. So light weight. I do wish there was a better traction surface on the switch, though.
You could always dye it. Use a lite grey ryte dye on a slow simmer for 10 minutes. Knife needs fully disassembled to do this.
I find the Shootout is the easiest to open because of the switch size and huge ramp. Heck, you can even activate it with thick winter gloves on, and that's a huge win for an OTF vs. literally any other OTF.
I believe knives ship free has a JURASSIC BIRD AND TROUT FIXED BLADE JADE OPAL G10 pocket fixed blade that would match your barlow.

How does the reliability and lock-up compare to the Ultratech and Shift?

Seems very comparable. Different but as good I'd say.
I got this one a few months ago from cuttlery shoppe for $199. I thought it was a great deal for a benchmade otf. Most of the reviews I've seen comment about how it feels "toy-like" which i disagree with however the deployment is the most toy feel about the knife. The plastic is hard and the grip they add obfucates fron the plastic feel. It's really just deployment that feels toy like. It also likes to derail quite easily compared to my livewire. I like the green but it collects grime unfortunately. Cheers homie 🤘

@@KnifeThoughts after I've lubed it it hasn't been nearly as much of an issue but initially it'd derail every 10 or so deploys.

Nice looking blade shape, do the screws have metal threaded inserts in the plastic handed or are they threaded into the plastic? 👍

They’re male and female so they screw from one side into the other. The clip screws have inserts 👍

Sending mine in for warranty repair. Catastrophic failure after 3 months! Not happy.
