These young people are not taught proper history in school, I live in Scotland and the only thing we were taught about was Germany invading Poland. No Scottish history (some of us were lucky to learn that from our families) or any other world history, it’s ridiculous. Knowing our history helps prevent us from making the same mistakes over and over.

If I were in a land where my grandparents were kicked out and put in a walled area fully controlled and blocked by some foreigners who came out of nowhere and act like my master and treat me like a filthy dog, I'd choose a party that promise me my land back from those people too. But like any other party in any other nation, they can't be all happy with how KHamas is doing things in order to achieve their purpose. All the more reason Palestinians should be given their own sovereignty. Israel should leave them alone. This "wrath of retaliation" should stop. As a german whose grandmother was bombed out in Frankfurt and had to flee: Thank you for doing so. With these bombing you cleared our brainwashed heads. I know whom you were fighting and I am doing my very best to fight every Neonazi I'm confronted with. I met a woman, born in the village near the KZ Auschwitz. She said she saw Mengele, she said she heard the kids cry for their moms and the moms for their kids and did not bother because she was brainwashed. When she had to flee to central germany, she came through burning Warshaw with her baby on her arms. She said that during this trail, she started to think. When after war she met her husband, she scolded him: "What have you done to the Russians that they became so hateful?! Don't tell me you did not rape women and burn their houses?!" Well this marriage did not last long. But this woman fought against any Nazi-ideology and any denial or even lack of knowledge, even in the geriatric home. Every nurse who ever had a night shift there, knew her story, and that she still hears the cries of the mothers and children at Auschwitz trainstation. In another geriatric home, they celebrated the end of war as the end of the Nazi Regime. I know, you are traumatized as well, as nobody can lighten such a fire in a city without being traumatized. Thank you for taking this upon you.

He can’t simply bring up Germany and Britain since the dynamics between those weren’t, aren’t and won’t be the same as they are now between Israel and Palestine. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is fueled by decades of conflict and the ongoing occupation of Palestine, while World War II was a global conflict with many different political and economic interests at stake. Additionally, the power imbalance between Israel and Palestine is not comparable to the power imbalance between the British and German militaries during World War II. Comparing it to WWII would only be appropriate in the context of Jews VS Nazis (not Germany VS Britain).

Reasoned, courteous, logical debate would require (1) a response to his direct question and/or a counterargument containing historical facts and ethical principles attempting to show the analogy was flawed; or (2) a concession that Ben had made a good point. Possibly followed by some other type of argument or claim, hopefully with more evidentiary basis and historical context than the first one. Pointing out the differences in casualties between Russian vs. German or Chinese vs. Japanese casualties wouldn't do any of those things.

Let's go further jewsih partisan faced more casualties against Nazis and they were right since they were fighting the oppressor. Ben just took one example of world war out of context and tried to fit it in Palestinian conflict where as the above examples also fit in the same scenario.

Less than 20 combatants killed and over 8 thousands innocent civilians murdered. Anyone standing up for that is sick . If anything America should mind their own business and stay out of this conflict. If America wasn't sending billions of dollars, weapons and training then the Israeli government would never be acting this way. well yeah, originally the german air force was attacking tactical targets (air fields, fuel storage, factories, etc) And then the british sent a single bomber to hit a purely civilian target. Immediately afterwards, german air forces started targeting civilians. USA firebombed (using napalm) wooden cities in japan, killing more people with fire than both the atom bombs combined. the soviets we dont even need to talk about, the imperial japanese forces had things like Nankiang. Essentially, there were no "good guys" in ww2, it was "less evil"

Yes, that's right, England didn't directly carry out the bombing, but only ordered its minions & maybe one of them was the US & Israel.😁😁 as in the current case, England must be responsible for Rohingya immigrants, it is England who placed them in Yanmar. I’m a 21 year old Canadian man (west coast BC) and I am both proud of myself and disappointed of my generation that I do not think like most of my fellows within my age group. Probably.. -I can't really attest from my own personal experience to generally how moral and rational, or ignorant and delusional their thinking & ideology is, because since I moved cities last year, every single one of my friends that I hang out with in person now are older than me. At least 25, but most are early to mid 30’s and some in their 40’s, and that’s all because of the community that I surround myself with now. My current friends didn’t shape my ideology, I realized the BS of the progressive left as soon as I became interested in understanding politics, which started from my distrust and frustration with Trudeau, so I’m consistently puzzled why other young people my age strayed way off into left field (pun intended) with the “regressive” ideology. My best guess is social conformity, kids my age are parrots, and I find they struggle to put themselves in the shoes of the other side, especially when they’re emotionally worked up. They are often ignorant and they don’t look for impartial answers, they don’t know how to, and where to look for these answers, nor do they ask questions in attempt to understand the facts and the history of concepts that they have so many opinions about. They can’t admit to themselves or others when their feelings or opinions are effectively irrational but not affectively irrational, and don’t know that is normal and okay. Unable to separate emotional thought from rational thought. They are seemingly unable to try and separate their feelings from the reality that benefits our society as a whole and how to weigh the personal cost that their uninformed political outrage detriments their own mental, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing. Seems that many of them struggle to prioritize and regulate how much attention they give to that political emotion. And understandably so, because we’re still kids, we’re freshman in adulthood, many are growing up quickly and as a result are being radicalized at a young age where our emotional, moral, and rational regulation is underdeveloped. So just like how many people everyday are finally waking up to this madness, I hope my generation will follow. There will always be radical crazies, and they’re the loud minority, but I hope my generation will grow up and recover from their social homogeneity contagion and form their own opinions without fear of being canceled by their university peers. Thought I’d just share from my view as a young person and hopefully I could bring hope to at least 1 person, that there are still young people that believe in merit and the principles that make American society the best and most prosperous in the history of the world. I love Canada, I love the United States, I love freedom, and I love truth, even if it hurts sometimes. If you read allat thank you for listening to/reading my spiel, I hope my insight was helpful or interesting.

@@bobbuilder2240 I'm going to address one simple item you mentioned first. Israel did not bomb 4 hospitals. Specifically, I'll address the big lie that Israel bombed a hospital and 500 people were killed. The media, BBC and other jumped all over that to condem Israel right away. Photos. Everything. Except they had to walk back all of that when multiple investigations proved the hospital was not only not bombed by Israel, 500 people weren't killed.A rocket misfired and hit the hospital parking lot. It was a Hamas rocket that was supposed to hit Israelis nowhere near the area. Why would something like this happen? WellHamas made a lot of rickets icing material like pipes stolen from the Palestinian water system. (Israel gets blamed for the water problem, too.) One thing to keep in mind throughout all of this as it goes on. All Wars have a tier of propaganda. This propaganda war will be a lot different because of social media, mainstream media, and planning. The Oct 7th attack took 2 years to plan. Make no mistake, Hamas is accomplished at propaganda and they planned ahead for that. I'm seeing numerous sites on X that I'm fairly sure are supported by either Hamas, CAIR or simply radical supporters & people who hate Jews and Israel. But one look at London, New York City and universities to know this isn't all about Zionism or Israel. They HATE Jews. One particular post I saw today was some who posted a photo of a father with one leg holding up his son with no legs. The accusation was Israelis did this. In fact (and it took me 2 minutes to figure out) the photo is of a Syrian man and his son. The photo was taken in Italy a couple years ago. They are Syrian, not Palestinians. The father list his leg in the Syrian Civil War, nothing war. War did devastate the family but this was not about Jews or Israel. The son was born with no legs. His mother was apparently injured during the war or was ill and given medicine that caused the birth defect. (Like the so-called Thalidomide babies whose mothers took the drug for morning sickness and were born with missing and deformed limbs before it was recalled) In the meantime, there are hundreds of thousands of people happy to repost these lies and propaganda. Especially stupid college students who should cut them off and make them get a real job. (I digress) THAT, young man is the SHORT answer to part of your post. Israel didn't bomb 4 hospitals. As to the first part, this is very much like World War II, but on steroids & the world has gone insane. Hitler wanted to exterminate everyone but people he considered Aryans. Not just Jews (though he exterminated 6 million ), but also the disabled, Blacks, the mentally ill, children with Downs Syndrome.... you get it. 10 million people were exterminated. Hamas and many Palestinians are calling not for just the end of Israel,but again, the extermination of the Jews. Oh yeah... gays, lesbians, etc will not be given a pass. Infidels (read Catholics, Presbyterians, Baptists, Mormons, atheists and the like all fall under that category. There was already an almost horrible success at committing a Fatwa against Salman Rushdie, a British-American citizen on American soil. They are calling for Jihad on not just Jews but Infidels across the world. WWII really started when Japan invaded Manchuria in 1931. Pappy Boyington and the Flying Tigers went to fight with the Chinese before the rest of the world woke up. This was also a clash of race and cultures. All Asains do not see all Asains as the same. Take a minute to educate yourself on the Rape of Nanjing (or Massacre of Nanjing) in 1937. It was barbaric, it was ruthless. So not like WWII? Different? No. It's WWII on steroids. And to stand aside and be quiet like people were before Kristallnacht, rounding up the Jews in ghettos, the camps will be disastrous on a worldwide level. (My old eyes need rest and a bigger screen. I'll have to answer the rest later. Be well.) By the way, I'm an athiest and I stand firmly with Israel 🇮🇱 and the Jewish people. When my father was in the army at the end of WWII, he was one of many doctors sent to help at liberated concentration camps. As for Palestinians being there first? Uh no

While it’s unfortunate, the left doesn’t teach history anymore. The left does not want you to be informed. The left just wants you to fall in line and support whatever position they take. I guess that’s why colleges are universities are more indoctrination than education. This woman is a good example of how ignorant and passionate a person can be on an issue. She does not know what’s she is talking about, she has no interest in finding out, and she is willing to die for it. 🤪🤪🤪
