Holo everyone glad you enjoyed the video! I just want to add that this video is my own work process from my perspective, and includes just my personal contribution to gearing up for a Holo Taco launch. There is so much work beyond what I do in my basement that involves many other people! Website coding, social media, customer service, emails and marketing, supplementary photography & video, project management/scheduling, quality control and of course can’t forget the actual making and mixing of the polish, and packing and shipping your orders🙌💅 It is truly a team effort to launch a collection, in no way do I do it all alone! I am proud to work with other hardworking individuals as passionate about Holo Taco as me😎

I know it'll be hard to let go but I'm excited for you to bring more marketing people on to help take that pressure off of you and give you that time back to focus on other goals and that overall work-life balance. I would really love if Cristine would see this. Back in April 2020 I was diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer. Which meant I had to and am still going through some pretty tuff treatments. As silly as it may seem you and your nail polish have helped me through this ridiculously rough time in my life. It’s hard to feel pretty when you have no hair and treatment is making you feel like death warmed over, but my nails have always been an important part of my expression. Because of all the hard work, love, and devotion you put into your polish collections I had something I could hold onto. I always make sure that my nails are done and it gives me something fun and enjoyable to talk to people about, instead of just my cancer. The doctors, receptionist, nurses, and really just anyone I see out in public always comment on how pretty my nails are. I get to have a conversation about HoloToco and how amazing it is. I get to smile and be excited. So in that movement I’m not a cancer patient I’m just a women talking about silly nails. I don’t think I will ever be able to express to you how much this has meant to me. I was in the hospital when the pastel rainbow collection dropped and of course I had to order it. My hubby asked, so how much did Cristine cost me this time? I told him no worries she donated this collection hehehe. Seriously though he has bought me all of your other collection because, he feels helpless and buying me nail polish that makes me smile is something he can do to make this all just a little bit less sucky.

i know she’s a bit of a perfectionist but i feel like her showing some of her “flaws” and being honest and silly is just relatable? like especially with working out she doesn’t try to be “look how put together i am” she’s like almost encouraging and even gives others a better mindset.

It wasn’t a surprise for me, but I think for a lot of people who don’t have any sort of background knowledge of product photography, or photography/videography in general it’s such a surprise as to what goes into all of this. People think photoshoots take maybe 30 minutes when in reality the average run time for a professional to do small portraits or restaurant shots is 1-2hours. For example my magazine company had a 40under40 article and we shot an entrepreneur who started a tutoring business. He scheduled himself 30 minutes for this shoot and made an appointment for something else right after, and he was taken aback when we told him we’d do our best to finish within the 30 minutes, since it takes about 10ish minutes to find a spot and set of lighting and all that jazz. He literally asked “I thought you guys would just snap a couple pictures and we’d be done”. 😂 People who are more math and science oriented don’t always appreciate or understand how long the arts take

  • @silana710

I don't often comment on videos, but I must say, this seriously moved me. As a full-time college student and part-time worker, life can get really stressful at times with all the little things piling up on you. I do photography and art as a pastime and it's some of the stuff that helps me release that stress that gets built up. In the back of my mind, I always think that I need the best equipment or high levels of skill to recreate the images that I see so beautifully created by photographers and artists that surround me. But getting this inside view of how you do it, Christine is insanely inspirational to me. It makes me realize I don't need studio equipment or crazy amounts of money to achieve my goals, and that starting out in a basement with a small bit of equipment can pay off just as much as spending a crap ton of money on the expensive stuff. Thank you for sharing this with us, and I hope to see you find some more time for yourself in the future. I know we all appreciate everything you do for us, and this launch has been one of my favorites. Thank you again, and good luck with everything! I'm glad to see the company branching out so much in what feels like so little time. :)

Seeing things like this makes me appreciate just how much Cristine puts into her own product line. She doesn't have to do any of this, she could just throw out a few ideas and have her team do the rest. But she doesn't, she's constantly checking and testing the formula, she's taking her own pictures, doing her own editing. Things like this are why I don't mind shelling out a few extra bucks for her products because I can see how much she's actually investing and caring for it.

Not gonna lie. This woman is probably a real work animal like- she probably does all of that because she simply doesn't like to just not do anything and STILL is such a humble and nice human being. She takes care of her health and body, her fur babys, got multiple channels, has a supportive boyfriend who she does those podcasts with and even though she got a team. She still does all of this herself. Spending her spare time creating stuff for others to enjoy and still got the AUDACITY to apologise for a long video that could be considered boring (a true Canadian). And honestly. I always say I dont wanna belong to a fantom or community because there are always toxic people in there but I actually NEVER saw anyone be judging anyone else here in the comments. If someone says something wrong or misunderstood it, other people just gently correct them. In that way. I feel honored to be in a community like that. Supporting a woman that encouraged and showed us how to grow our nails Strong five and a half months without biting my nails thanks to you queen. All in all. I really hope that this is gonna last for so many more years without cris overworking herself at some point. I am so sorry for that paragraph but those comments here are so supportive and I didnt wanna miss the chance to give something back to her since she gave me so many good chuckles and even some big ass laughs and double taps back to watch it again and again.
