Your shots came out STUNNING! Are they available for purchase anywhere? Also where exactly did you go to find the ponies?? My boyfriend and I visited Chincoteague a couple days ago and we were only able to spot them (very far away) from an overlook on the side of the road inside the Wildlife Chincoteague Refuge, where people usually stop to see them. We tried going on one of the trails a local recommended - no ponies, but we were eaten alive by mosquitos instead lol. We didn't go to Assateague - is that a better spot if you want to get up close and personal with the ponies? Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks!

The ponies at Assateague can be more accessible, especially during busy season because they like to raid the campgrounds. ;) At Chincoteague, we did a boat tour. Without that, we would have had the same luck you did. At Assateague, we had an OSV pass so we could drive down the beach, but we were there after the busy season, so there weren't many ponies in the normal accessible areas. I hope that helps!
