These photos are stunningly magical! I went to Iceland in 2017 on a landscape photography tour. We saw some horses but nothing like this. I would have been smiling from ear to ear ap the time if I'd had this experience. It is truly a beautiful beautiful country

Beautiful! I wish my Icelandic/Quarter cross had half the mane of some of those purebreads. Definetely a bucket list location for photographing horses.

Awesome, Shelley! Beautiful shots you got in Iceland. I've been once but it was a whiteout in March. Here in Michigan I shoot for a stable of Icelandic therapy horses and I just love them. Unlike larger horses like Arabians and other thoroughbred race horses, the Icelandics are so chill and mostly not divas. They also seem to know when they're on camera and I love how they (seem to) kick their strutting and prancing and vamping up a notch whenever they hear my shutter. Love your channel! Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much! I would love to get back to Iceland in the winter - I want those frosty horses and northern lights!

I stayed at the same place for one night in 2018. It was in May, so a lot of the horses were still losing the winter coat & looked pretty scruffy. We often pulled over to the side of the road if we saw horses in the paddocks & most times they'd run over to see you. I'd love to go back again one day

Excellent work! I have photographed African wildlife mostly, but will be trying something new and this is very helpful. In a few months, I’ll have three days to capture as many wonderful images as I can of the wild horses of Easter Island. I’m hoping to capture them along with the famed Moai under beautiful skies.

I have only noticed it while photographing high action where there are obvious lines (like fences or jumps) but that's very rare. I did talk about it in a review video for the R5: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5d2m9uDmZTWfKQ.html
