​@@paradossaleHoyo is not the type to leave a whole type of characters in the dust, they're most probably gonna drop a hunt focused moc soon.

I've heard his crit trace is a permanent buff for the entire battle so you don't need 6 debuffs at once. It will just take a bit longer to stack it. But his other trace that gives dmg% does need 5 debuffs on every use of his skill to give maximum effect. I think Fu Xuan is better with SW against quantum weak enemies because it's easier to get imaginary or fire if using Topaz.

I think too, we'll see when Ratio releases but Welt' slow lasts for 2 turns right ? If so, you can pretty much use a basic once in a while to fix desync. This is my guess, at least

I personally run my welt on spd boots err rope and err planar set (penecony, vonwaq) so he is actuall sp efficient, he needs roughly 2 basics 1 skill to get ult

Chances are that the enemies of Penacony won't have enough Imaginary weak enemies and they definitely have high effect res in them, specially the bosses.

It's so simple, he was strong because they design him to be a limited 5* but they feel generous enough to give him away plus between ruan mei and 2.0 around the corner they feel like it's justifiable to give him out plus it incentivize a lot of people to go roll for his LC cuz they want to use him instead of skipping him entirely (which is a case in the community, between youtube and hoyolab I have seen so many people admitted to this) so don't even start with the business argument.

With Topaz e1s1 you can run them with Ruan mei no problem cuz its 3+1 debuffs from topaz and Ruan mei's ult with Ratio's own debuffs its already an ideal amount of debuff he needs😂

Huohuo is nice. I've been using her a lot. Love how she cleanses my team by just using her skill, when it's their turn, or when they use their ultimate skill. Plus the attack buff and energy recharge is nice.

I can agree with you about the toughness shred. Absolute chad of a free unit! Used him on the story quest (trial) and effortlessly deletes that Quantum centaur idk the name while getting his exclusive achievement early (triggers FuA 4 times? in a row)

20:25 i do want to tounch on something for people who have topaz at e1......if u have topaz e1, u ALWAYS want to use her with Dr ratio, cause her e1 does 2 things, it increases crit dmg for follow ups by 50% is insane......but that 50% crit dmg buff also counts as ANOTHER debuff so she is applying 2 at a time to help dr ratio to hit those markers EVEN EASIAR

DAMN he gets 13% crit from base traces, 15% from fully stacked ascencion trace, and 10% from imaginary set + and 50% crit damage, 20 from relic (sometimes) and 30 from ascencion trace. That is nuts, he's gonna slap.

Love the video, I'm glad ratio is getting some cool strategies being discussed and how easy he is to build kinda like Jingliu. but I did wanna mention a few things that you didn't that I think are worth noting and will probably interest you as it's regarding welt and ruan mei who you've said in the past you love. A welt with resolution provides 4 debuffs: Resolution (1), Imprisonment from ult (2), slow from skill (3), and Vulnerability on ult from talent (4). Ruan mei's ultimate actually applies a debuff to the enemies, this debuff has 100% practical uptime for the most part, as the only time it isn't on is when the enemies are broken and that in itself applies a debuff. Ratio himself applies one debuff so that's the six you will need, this means welt can serve as a silverwolf replacement or as something else that's niche but could be fun for you to try: Welt can build complete break effect EHR and SPD and work as a sustainer support hybrid and this could be a really fun playstyle to try if you dont wanna build the two as dual DPS with welt sometimes doing a basic. This'll basically let you run 1 more harmony on top of ruan mei and reach the 6 debuffs, or topaz, or basically any kind of other fourth slot. It's just something fun to try that I'd love to see you do since I know you did welt sustain in the past and I tried it in this MoC with break effect welt and it was honestly a blast (I managed to clear top half with it too) Also forgot to mention welt allows more consistent usage of the 4p IMG set which is insanely strong

Should also be mentioned there's an upcoming relic set in 2.0 that might have easier synergy with him than the Wastelander set

I was thinking of the same secret comp too! Ratio Sparkle Silverwolf and Fu xuan (or luocha) but I'm excited to see if they update Aventurine's kit to be more synergistic with debuff playstyle similar to how Fu Xuan is like a Preservation/Harmony, maybe they will make Aventurine Presevation/Nihility :)

Great work, on topaz + ruan mei id like to add that e1s0/e0s1 topaz would add 1 debuff each, if your topaz were e1s1 then topaz would by herself guarantee ratios followup (but only on the numby marked enemy). another thing to consider is that ruan mei's ult gives the enemies a debuff called "thanatobloom" which also synergizes with ratio. the last thing is that you could spin that time both ways, against fire weak enemies you got topaz and ratio supports topaz by making numby go more often and against img weak enemies topaz support ratio by giving him vulnerability + cdmg on followups (assuming you have e1 or s1)

Would it be a viable team for people to build, because obviously harmony units offer more utility than dmg, but i was curious if it atleast does more dmg or is more consistent with debuffs

Looking forward to pairing him with Sparkle. I ran him in the trial with my Bronya (E1 S1), Silver and Fu Xuan and the damage was great but the I had barely enough skill points to keep him going.

I doubt you will see this but , I'm currently trying to farm an imaginary orb for ratio and im 60/210 with E2 , the e2 states imaginary damage based off his atk is it worth using atk orb over imaginary due to the stats i get on the follow up atk ( I play topaz ( with LC ) fuxuan ruan mei ( e1 LC ) ratio with LC or do i continue farming the imaginary set , Would mean the world to me if anyone could back to me on this

Ngl, i think a ratio and welt dual dps comp with ruan mei will go hard, especially with all the breaking maybe even removing the need for any heavy sustain. Yes skill point economy wont be great but it should be manageable with maybe a luocha/gepard as sustain.(Imma still try fu cuz she's too cracked)

I don't have much for imaginary set pieces and I've read that 2.0 is adding a new set that'll be good for him and the other set is good for ruan mei so should i hold out on farming hard on relics for him till then?

I’ve started playing a few days before sparkle banner ended. I’m f2p and I pulled Acheron as my main team and I’m using Ratio for my second team but he’s fucking cheeks right now. Comparing him to Acheron is sad. Wondering when he gets good. For context, running Bailou (rip I know), Asta for her basic attack debuff, (guinaifen is on my Acheron team) and Serval for the aoe and shock debuff. I just hit lvl 50 TB lvl, been grinding. I haven’t farmed any relics but he seems pretty gear dependent. Any thoughts?

My e1 s1 topaz is eating good haha. 3 debuffs with no EHR needed to land them on single target is gonna be massive for my boy

yeah they are good options for now the follow up and attack increase are good for him if you don't have a two piece imaginary (or 4 piece imaginary for certain teams). Though in 2.0 he will get a new relic set that will be perfect for him.

Another great guide and a really clear one too thanks for this. One thing I will say (then again average is mentioned so it’s probably invalid). A substat will not match a main stat, so crit rate bodies can never have crit rate as a substat, meaning only 5 will have that substat

i saw a guy using hwe hwe RM and tingyun with Dr. ratio, surprisingly it worked and it worked really really well, ratio has 1 debuff, RM has 1 debuff, and with ty + huo huo ratio ult has way more uptime top of break debuffs and ratio + hwe hwe technique debuff so the enemies ussualy have 3-6 debuffs in this team with no debuffers

Excited man. I have Huo Huo and Silver Wolf. And I’ll use him with Kafka on occasion. Most excited I’ve been for a character and he’s FREE. insane.

As far as im aware, the crit buff he gets is a permanent effect. Its the damage bonus that is conditional and requires the enemy to have a constant upkeep of 3+debuffs to get the benefits. This is quite a substantial change that absolutely think you should go over afterwards as it makes his crit ratios a lot nicer and although you are essentially forced to run debuffers anyway, it doesnt force you to run SW who is the only one able to debuff the enemy 5 times by herself.

Hello gacha smack , i've got myself a 4 piece quantum , My Dr ratio has 3K ATK / 66.5% Crit Rate / 180.8% Crit DMG / 134 SPD (Stellar Sea Lightcone) I inted to play him as you said on the video with Sparkle , was it a smart move to move in on the quantum set or should i go back farming his set ? 20% DEF shred is pretty Juicy. It will make him Silverwolf dependant but, it's not really a problem since she's one of his best partners anyways ? Thank you for any answers and pointers you might give me 🙂

Just using Pela with pearl sweat already give you 2 debuff through the seperate def shred. Dr ratio himself apply a effect res down debuff on enemy so you are guarantee to get 3 debuff not counting imaginary imprision break to maximize his chance of procing follow up attack. The crit buff should stack permanent like argenti crit passive. He is very f2p friendly but SW does maximize his single target potential for non imaginary enemy

The stars aligned for me playing HSR, bc Dr Ratio in all his magnificent glory, is the exact dps I needed since I'm lacking imaginary.

Is the glamoth planar set also good for him or only the inert set ratio needs?

I was thinking about Welt+Ratio+SW+Lynx combo (i dont have luocha sadly i wanted to play him there tho). How is this team sound? I was thinking about using ruan mei with him, but only if i can guarantee the imaginery weakness already on the enemy im fighting.

Also don't forget, there are rumors that in 2.0, there will be a new relic set where there is increased Crit rate and Crit DMG if the enemy has a certain number of debuffs...which may affect your relic choices.

If you are talking about dots stacks. Then no. 5 wind shear is considered as 1 debuff. But if you have SW and Pela together, and both of them do Def Shred. It is counted as 2 Debuffs. You can test it out and see the Debuffs count.

Holy hell that base attack is insane. Also, SW definitely has been hard to justify using for awhile, so glad Dr. Ratio is gonna bring her back strong!

Bronya is still a good unit, her skill won't always be able to buff all his follow up attacks but her ult gives team wide buff which can buff all his attacks until the buff ends.

S1 Topaz is insane with Ratio, her talent and lightcone count as debuffs

nice video, would love to talk abt tingyun's placement but kinda unfortunate that i cant talk about "unofficial sources" 😉 because ruan mei tingyun huohuo is legit one of his best e0s0 pairings in moc just from the sheer ult uptime. they allow him to brute force follow ups and get better total dmg without needing a dedicated subdps debuffer like e1s1 topaz. fast DDD tingyun and quid huohuo can then act a 3rd time after ratio's 2nd action to finish off elites (the right setup can even net you ~700k+ dmg/cycle at s0, or 350k+ per elite) essentially you get 3 debuffs for the first 2 turns from ratio himself (effres reduction trace and technique) and huohuo's atk down technique. (i know you mentioned this a bit in the huohuo synergy section but for this team these debuffs are all we get) while the trade off is ~20-30% lower dmg in pure single target vs wolf or e1s1 topaz, what you get in return is 2 ults immediately on cycle 0 of wave 1, with some hit rng + quid rng you can even do the same for wave 2. so that's a lot of follow ups, like, almost twice the amount of follow ups. so your "aoe" potential also rises by quite a bit despite not having a strong topaz. one big issue is running out of debuffs after 2 turns and ratio drops to 20% hit rate but that's assuming each elite can survive 4 fully buffed follow ups per cycle. edit: line breaks for clarity

Does Ruan Mei's Thanatoplum Rebloom (the flower thing on the enemies head) count as a debuff? If so, a fuxuan, topaz, Dr ratio and Ruan Mei comp at least guarantee that his follow up is triggered?

yes it is a debuff, though it is only temporary, not as consistant as other debuffs. Though if you have trend of the universal market LC it can add a debuff to enemies too, but it is not the best LC option for FuXuan.

If I’m using huo huo with her signature, would a err rope that has about 20 more crit damage than my next best attack rope be a decent option. got a nasty amount of cv on it and I’d be very happy if I could use it on him

I don't really like they release a character and then the charater's best set is in the next patch... just like Topaz, I have to wait for 3 weeks before her follow up set is release... holy shit

I ran him with Sampo in the trial and it worked pretty well (I dont have silver wolf). Especially on single targets, his skill applies 5 stacks of debuff in one use.

I think another team that could be great with Dr. Ratio is Ruan Mei, Welt and Luocha or another character that can help with sustain, since if you use Welt with the light cone that has Luka on it which ensnares enemies and lowers they're defense with the vulnerability debuff from Welt ult maxes out the debbuf required for Ratio and with both Welt and Ruan Mei delaying the enemies turns it should be a pretty good team I think also mstashed might have gone over the theoryctafting with the welt synergy with ratio.

nothing is more imersive than watching smack, talk about som hes excited about and passionate about, seen this b4 when he was talking abt Ruin Me, and now Dr. GenshinCouldNever

Maybe I'll test it later, but any idea if you need UNIQUE debuffs, or do stacking debuffs still count for Ratio? For instance, would Guins Firekiss stacked 3 times count for 3 debuffs or just 1?

That’s not separate debuffs so of course it’s not going to count. It’s a just stack of a debuff not a whole new one.

@@TerraTheWise The wording of the talent does not signify "separate" or "whole new" debuffs to put it into your own words. So what would make your conclusion that they wouldn't? I'm not arguing that they would, since again I do not know. But based on the wording alone the answer is not clear.

@@recantedforger5850 Ok they obviously aren’t going to use the exact words I used and they don’t need to because it’s already confirmed how this works in the game. DoT stacks don’t count as separate debuffs in any other case right now so why would it count for ratio’s kit. Easy evidence of this is the LC good night and sleep well. You cannot get all 5 stacks but simply applying 5 stacks of windshear or shock, etc they have to be 5 different debuffs. I also know for a fact that it doesn’t work like that because it’s been confirmed already by people who have played him. You get access to him in the trailblaze mission.

I personally think the debuffer set in 2.0 is going to be noticeably better than 4pc Bandit not because of the numbers but just for the consistency and comfort. While it is true that he has an incredibly strong toughness break gauge per turn with Ruan Mei, he can't make full use of the Bandit set without Imprison break, which still needs its ramp-up time, compared to the debuff set which can just be set up with enemy debuffs. Furthermore the Imaginary break duration doesn't last as long if the enemies are fast enough such as True Sting, Decaying Shadow, Direwolf automaton. In practice it will probably perform better on live, but personally I am just not a fan of its restriction. Regardless its still a good set on him and is more than viable to run provided that you have good stats with it.
