43:17 - 43:35 I'm kinda ticked Doug cut the part with Grodin saying goodbye to Beethoven here, saying "🥺... 😢I'm sorry. You were *my* dog, too." That was such a great delivery from Grodin! Really makes me mad at myself that I wasn't introduced to his earlier performances, like Midnight Run, yet it makes me all the more sadder that he's gone.

16:37 - 17:08 Don't forget The Great Muppet Caper, where Grodin was the jewel thief brother to the late Diana Rigg from The Avengers and Game of Thrones. Btw, just recently watched her last role in Last Night in Soho; not a bad way to go out.

I loved the original That Darn Cat! Recently found and watched it after seeing Doug and Brad Jones's review of the 90s remake, which also had Dean Jones in a cameo role. God, that remake was awful, but the review with both cats, Lloyd and Chaplin, was hilarious.

Well it is a live action Disney remake so it was expected.

I've never seen Beethoven before. I don't have an opinion on anything about it or on new versions of it.

Charles Grodin (father) was 57 when Beethoven came out. Bonnie Hunt (mother) was 31. Nicholle Tom (elder daughter) was 14. If we were to go by their actual ages, that would mean that dear ol’ dad was messing around with an underage girl and got her pregnant, resulting in mom giving birth when she was 17. Depending on what state they were living in, mom and dad’s relationship was either completely legal, or dad’s a statutory rap-ist.

I did watch Beethoven as a kid once but I couldn’t watch it a lot I cried when the bad doctor talked the dad into giving him Beethoven and I didn’t like how the dad was always mad at Beethoven .

Stanley Tucci is awesome I loved his character on inside man which was really good and I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it

I'm gonna be honest, I once saw the second half of Beethoven 2 as a kid, and really, I despised that movie, and pretty much any Beethoven film would just make me leave the living room. Glad to see that even as an adult that hasn't changed, although I definitely enjoyed Doug's jokes and references

Plus it’s better than them talking over a potential funny joke, fun fact/background detail, or important plot point. While I get the nostalgia and fun of having them talk without pausing, I feel like now it would annoy more people than the pauses do cause of what I just listed. And it’s not like you can’t skip over them talking and get right back into them watching it.
