@@Nicky2414 I dare say that even though his films weren't always good, Schumacher was still one of these rare breeds of filmmakers that are unfortunately becoming rarer and rarer; he was a director with a sense of artistic vision. He didn't treat filmmaking like it was just a desk job, he had a passion for it

Mariokemon in the first batman, they show harvey as a politician in a picture, and hes played by Billie dee williams, the guy who played Lando in star wars. They recast him as tommy lee jones for this movie

I will say this it is better then the next one. Val killmore does have his serious moments in the movie. If val kill killmore was in a more serious batman movie he could have been better receptive. Jim carry was a unique riddler but if it was branded as a comedic batman movie.

@RenegadeMediaGroup Movie trivia: Jim Carrey was channeling the original Riddler from the Adam West Batman show played by Frank Gorshin, who Carrey was a huge fan of. Knowing this, you can see in some of Carrey's scenes that is he being Frank Gorshin's Riddler. Which he does very well, given that his body movements almost matches Gorshin's movements down to the T.

I would say the first Batman movie (Burton) is the best. It's so atmospheric, Batman looks awesome and not overly intimidating. And it was done with just one villain, instead of a few at once. And of course the music! It's also dark, but not ridiculously so.

As well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 1&2 movies in Marvel.Not only there were enjoyably fun to watch,but they also show us a brand new version of Peter Parker/Spider-Man on the big screen back in 2002 and 2004.And there were also done with just one villian instead of a few of them at once (despite Spider-Man 3) And of course,the epic and iconic music composed by the same composer who did the Batman '89 theme and music back in 1989.And there were also dark,brutal,action packed,epic,heroic and relatable.

If they want to talk about a 'bat ass' then I recommend the Alicia Silverstone batgirl suit up. NOW THAT IS A BAT ASS!!!!!!!!

My opinion isn't that he was miscast, it's that the Riddler was miswritten and Carrey was misdirected. They clearly just wanted an evil genius version of Ace Ventura for their villain and told Carrey to go nuts because the kids'll love it. If they had written this Riddler like the one from the Arkham games or from Gotham and directed him to portray Riddler like that, I'm sure Carrey could've handled it, considering some of what we've seen him do elsewhere. But they gave him ridiculous and over the top writing and got ridiculous and over the top acting from him in return.

@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince True, but I much like Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr Freeze, he was entertaining in how over the top he was. And you CANNOT go more over the top than Jim Carrey. Overall, I still love it as far as a performance goes. As a Batman performance goes...It blows hard.

@@Nicky2414 Yeah, it works in the sense that the overall tone of the whole movie was stupid and over the top sillines, so it at least fits with the rest of it, but as far as being a Batman movie goes, it's the cinematic equivalent of Diarrhea. Like, if these actors and performances were used in an original movie that was meant to be a parody of the superhero film genre, it still probably wouldn't be beloved, but it would've likely gained a die hard cult following.

@@williamgreci8219 Honestly, yeah, this film fits that tone MUCH better. Plus, I've even heard recently that Jim Carrey might've based part of his Riddler performance off the Adam West era Riddler, and when you see the two performances back to back, I can kinda see it. I mean, it doesn't do much to make this film fit in with it's two predecessors any better, but it at least gives us an idea of where this performance was coming from it that rumor is true.

I'll be honest: I still like Jim Carey as the Riddler. Tommy Lee Jones though...God bless that man for putting everything into every performance, but this was bad. And it's not him. It's the script. Two Face is not a hammy character, but Schumacher wanted a campy movie...so we got a campily written Two Face. And that was not the right direction (one could argue the entire camp direction wasn't the right one, period. But even the Burton films had a small degree of camp to them. They just mixed it well with more dramatic tension and Gothic overtones). For this movie, just the Riddler would have been fine. Also, Val Kilmer wasn't quirky like Michael Keaton was, nor was he as brooding as Christian Bale or even Ben Affleck. He was just kinda there. Which is what you don't want for your main character. All that said..."Kiss From a Rose" is one of the greatest songs ever written! And yeah it sucks it's stuck on the soundtrack for this limp noodle of a film, but I don't care. If you don't like that song you are just objectively wrong. And I hope you get hit on the head hard enough to knock the sense back into you, because you obviously were dropped on your head at some point hard enough to knock the sense out of you

SonicHeroXD For me personally, I’m a little in the middle on The Dark Knight. I do really appreciate the extreme risks it took with its aggressive adult style, Ledger’s performance speaks for itself, and I do remember most of what it has to say. But I do take issue with Batman (yes, even the voice) and his costume, the plot gets a little muddy around the 3rd act, and Batman’s ending didn’t make much sense (couldn’t he just say Joker killed those people?) For me, Mask of the Phantasm is the best Batman movie. While I’ll remember Dark Knight more for its risqué style and intensity, Mask of the Phantasm and the MCU movies are more my cup of tea.

Favorite Batman film: - Tie between: • The Dark Knight • Batman (1989) Hated Batman Film Batman Vs. Superman Hate this film for the following reasons: - The reason why their actual fight happens (not Batman's reason but Superman's since he could if easily told him what's happening without even approaching him and doing that casual push move he did) - Superman's death was not deserved; it just wasn't good - the betrayal of Doomsday.... Doomsday is my favorite villain (besides Joker) and the way they "created" this cinematic version is just a complete insult to who he actually is. Hell there's a story where Zod actually FOUGHT Doomsday. So making Zod into Doomsday himself just really pissed me off (plus Zod's death is a very satisfying death in Man Of Steel, at least for me, and resurrecting him into a Kryptonien/ Human Hybrid was not only an insult to Doomsday (because that's not what a hybrid would look like) but also an insult to the all-so-satisfying death he recieved) - Wonder Woman felt like she was just added in. Her film was awesome but her cameo in BvS could've been done way better. - NEEDED MORE LIGHT AND COLOR

I say the Justice League/Batman Beyond epilogue episode is a much better conclusion to one Batman saga than the Dark Knight Rises. At least Terry McGinnis is an actual person who does have experience being trained by Bruce Wayne and will likely inherit the Wayne Estate from the nansion, to the newly-established Wayne Enterprises and of course the Batcave. But with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character?! How is he even connected to Bruce Wayne if he's not even called Dick Grayson in the movie?! That's just stupid.

The reason why Tommy Lee Jones acted like he did, was to get payback at them for casting Jack Nicholson as Joker instead of him for which he was up for.

Jim Carrey's Riddler is Underrated, my personal opinion. I know I am in majority.

As far as I'm concerned people in Hollywood should lead by Joel Schumacher's example on how to handle criticism. BTW I do still enjoy this movie. Though I admit to being a total Jim Carry fan boy.

I remember when I was first getting into super hero movies I watched all of the original 1990s Batmans and loved the first three. Then I got to Batman and Robin and thought maybe it wasn't as bad as everyone said. Then Robin said "It's the hockey team from hell!" as they fought Mr.Freeze's hockey team. That's what I decided to not even try to defend the movie anymore.

I've got a soft spot for the camp of 66 but I've gotta say I LOVE Under the Red Hood. Not counting animated it's 89 that's the best for sure.

I'll probably get roasted for this, but I would rather watch Batman and Robin than Batman vs Superman. Batman and Robin was stupid, but there were at least some fun elements. It's Riff-able. Batman vs. Superman is just unrelenting grimdark. The only good part was the Wonder Woman cameo at the end.

According to Lupa's Twitter, you guys are supporting abusive people. To that I say, tough! She also doesn't want anyone to watch NC or the Cinema Snob. There's only so much you can control your audience and the more she carries on like this, the less it seems like her intentions with the document weren't spiteful. One more thing, awesome reaction, Renegades!

We can't be sure if the claims of Channel Awesome is 100 % true what is true of what I seen those who raised hell and left caused social mayhem and got people to fight, I prefer Professionals who don't causes riots.

My Favorite Batman movie is The Dark Knight. My least Favorite on the other hand might surprise ar least some people though, as my least Favorite was Batman Begins. The actor that played the Scarecrow just ruined the whole movie for me by himself. He was the one element I just couldn't stand. I hope the new Batman movie we are supposed to get gives me a Scarecrow I can like
