Yes, in this film, Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, was played by Billy Dee Williams (best known for playing Lando in the Star Wars movies). Sadly, though, he was only contracted to be in this one film. Burton wanted him to reprise his role and become Two-Face in the sequel, but because he couldn’t get him, Burton created the character Max Shrek played by Christopher Walken. This is also why Joel Schumaker recasted him with Tommy Lee Jones. 11:00 Also, as to why Bruce Wayne on the plane looks like Ken Miles from Ford v Ferrari is because they were both played by Christian Bale. Wait... are implying you've seen Ford v Ferrari, a good movie!?

The reason people hated keaton as batman when he was first cast was cause he was previously only known as a comedy actor and they didnt think he could play a serious role like batman

Doug has expressed interest in doing an Indiana Jones month for this year, but he's a bit worried of how KZread's censors will react to all the Nazi symbols sprinkled throughout the films.

So Harley Quinn didn't debut until years after this movie, and Harley's real name is Harleen Quinzel.

There was a Batman show in the late 60s and it was downright silly. Yes, Billy Dee Williams character and Tommy Lee Jones character are meant to be the very same. The reason people hated the casting of Michael Keaton as Batman is because at the time, most people knew him as Beetlejuice. After the movie, people's opinions changed. Over the years, history will repeat with Heath Ledger was announced as Joker or Robert Pattinson(Dude from Twilight) as Batman. Despite the backstory of being the killer of Bruce's parents, this is arguably the most faithful version of the Joker. The later movies has Joker removes the vat of acid origin story.

The 1989 Batman movie with the best Batman interpreter, Best Joker interpreter, best Batman score hands down, it is still my favorite and IMHO the best Batman movie. Hands down.

Well, the "hate" for Michael Keaton was before the movie came out. Much like most new iterations of James Bond (anyone announced as the new James Bond always gets flak until the first movie comes out)

- Since we're this far in I vote to finishing off the remaining movies (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises and The Batman) - Michael Keaton returned as Batman in The Flash movie (Which after release was the biggest super hero movie bomb at the time)

Relying on videos like The Nostalgia Critic to be your introduction to movies you've never seen just isn't the same as watching a movie yourself. I recently watched the Netflix One Piece series and when the last episode ended I had such an intense, amazing feeling of satisfaction at what I saw and how it made me feel. If I had only watched a KZread video talking about it I would have learned a lot, sure, but I would've missed out on the amazing feeling I was left with. Knowledge of a movie without the emotional investment is just a terrible waste to me. With you, I don't care so much about seeing your reaction to movies as much as knowing that you have watched something and experienced the emotions of doing so.

Keaton came back in the recent flash movie due to a multiverse storyline similar to spiderman no way home but different you’ll hear a lot of negativity because discourse around comic book movies has gone fucking insane but it was actually a good movie

Before Batman, Keaton's breakout roles were comedies. I guess people didn't have much faith in the guy who starred in Mr. Mom and Beetlejuice to do the character justice. Over 30 years and the invention of the internet later, people don't goddamn change

It’s primarily because Tim Burton’s movie Beetlejuice was a hit at the box office that he was given the task of directing the 1989 Batman movie and it’s 1992 sequel Batman Returns. Nearly 35 years later and it’s one of Burton, Danny Elfman, and Michael Keaton’s best films ever! #1989 #Batman #BobKane 🦇

Not gonna lie, I prefer Christian Bale because he felt like both to me from the comics. Keaton feels like the cartoon though. Jack Nicholson was the joker, much as I loved Heath Ledger

When it comes to Batman, there are two of my favorite movies from this awesome superhero. The Dark Knight and this movie. Both perfectly represented what Batman movies should be. Both The Dark Knight and this movie are equally awesome.

I get not everyone is into it, but it's an iconic trilogy for a reason. And to clarify, I mean the original trilogy. You probably don't want to watch the Disney trilogy, most can agree it really is not good.

The question on which live-action Batman is the best is subject of never ending debate among fans. Each side will supply you with a long list or reasons why their favourite version is the best one. Also keep in mind, Critic likes to be pretentious in his opinions.
