NO I don't think so, this movie is trying to be serious as hell and accomplished it's serious tone with positive tones of hope+ adventure. One of my favorites! Watched it in theaters like 3 times 😂. Colm Meaney (DEA guy) is known for his Chief O'Brien character in Star Trek TNG and Deep Space Nine and he is the total opposite of this character, so its kinda jarring 🤣. Awesome reaction!!

I saw this in theaters back in summer of 97, on vacation at an Imax theater, unbelievable experience. 90's era Nicholas Cage in a Jerry Bruckheimer produced cheesy action movie where he's not only sporting a nice long mane, but has a southern accent as well. As a southerner, I felt honored.

Great reaction!!! Love this movie, so much cheesy over the top 90’s everything! One of John Malkovich’s most iconic performances is in the period piece drama, Dangerous Liaisons from 1988. It also has a stacked cast of supporting actors and actresses that would become some of the most iconic characters in modern cinema later in their careers. Empire of the Sun from 1987 is a WW2 drama that was directed by Steven Spielberg that stars Malkovich and a child actor you guys are sure to recognize 😜 More from John Malkovich Of Mice and Men (1992) drama Mary Riley (1996) horror drama Making Mr. Right (1987) rom com Places in the Heart (1984) drama Warm Bodies (2013) horror rom com

"... they're calling it a wake-up call... they're currently talking to Denzel's people..." 😂😂😂 The awesome level of cheesey dialogue to match the visuals in this flick are such a treat! Thanks for this one. Cage: Guarding Tess and Moonstruck are a must. Cusack: Grosse Pointe Blank... PLEEASE ;) Colm Meaney: The Commitments, Layer Cake Malkovich: honestly, the man was a mini god in his day. You wouldn't even look up what it's about, you would just go see his movies. So the fact that he was in this flick, people at the time were like 'ok holy s***', lol, that is some serious casting right there. Burn After Reading, In the Line of Fire, Red, Being John Malkovich (also starring Cusack)...

Back in the 90s there was a very popular myth that you could upward strike someone's nose right into their brain and kill them, which is what Poe did. It's absolutely ridiculous. The nose cartilage would just crumble instead. But back then everyone was convinced it was real.

I saw this in a theater back in 1997, which was one one of the best years ever for summer movie blockbusters. At the theaters that summer, I also got to experience The Fifth Element, Anaconda, The Lost World, Air Force One, Spawn, and Face/Off. I missed out on Men In Black, unfortunately, but out of all of those, I think I had the most fun with Face/Off and this movie. For more Nic Cage, I highly recommended an 80's classic, 1983's Valley Girl. It's one of the best high-school teen comedies, with a very young Nic Cage. Great reaction, you too.
