I was a young recording engineer in Nashville during the 80s and worked with Beegie and her husband Billy frequently. They were both excellent musicians. More importantly, they were genuinely nice people. They were classy, with a cool and sophisticated edge that made them stand out from the rest of us. Billy called her “Beeg” and I always loved hearing him say “hey Beeg” during our recording sessions. If you love Beegie’s music, I hope that you will love it even more by knowing what a kind, companionate, and wonderful person that she really was.

@@reynaldon1295 Ah yes-I was a teen myself in the mid-60s. I remember it well-that was the time when a beetle changed from being something you stomped on if it got into your bedroom, to a group of 4 lovable mop-tops, who got the name for their group by changing the 2nd e in "beetle" to an a, to reflect the fact that what they were doing was creating music, which as we all know, has a beat. Thus the Beatles were born! That's the group, not literally the lads themselves of course. No, each member of the Beatles entered the world in the early 40s. Ha ha-if it was the lads that had been born in the 60s, they would've had to call themselves "Bubz on Guitars" or something. Result wouldn't have been much different though-girls still would've been screaming, but mostly coz of them playing all the wrong notes.🤪

He used to say, every human is a living library, full of memories. Now he can't tell me no anymore stories of his childhood in the war, he can't tell me anymore about his life as a musician in the 50ties and 60ties. I hope, someday we'll make music together again.

I think it’s the maturity of their age... the older the person the more his brain experiences emotions that in musicians can be expressed like this! I really doubt a really young musician can express such a rich emotional scale in a piece, no matter how good his/hers technique is. I just love this video.

10-5-2022 this video keeps repeating so maybe everyone listening to play her songs as a tribute to her. She passed this last Jan.2022. My. parents were musicians and singers and artists, so her music is so special. This song is very sentimental to me because my mother passed in September, 1997 and me and my siblings still play her own composed music. She played piano and organ. My father played every instrument. My siblings, children and grandchildren are all musicians, singers artists so memories are beautiful I truly miss Ms.Adiar and trying to get her albums. Thank you Utube for not forgetting her among the great pianist and musicians. Thank you to my Entire family, who taught me and my siblings to appreciate all. if The Arts and diversity of genres I miss them All this is a beautiful song and very sentimental but happy memories. I would have liked to have metMs.Adair and her husband and band. My parents were concert musicians but played all genres. This song and so many of Ms.Adair keeps my parent's spirits close. Listening to Ms.Adair is as if she is here in my home, along with my parents and their musician friends. What a beautiful way to begin October. Thank You

Oddly, her songs came on my utube a few minutes ago and Autumn Leaves was the first. My parents were musicians, and played this song often. So appropriate for Oct 2 2022. It is as if,her spirit is still here. I played Bessie Mucho in High School Concert and Marching band. I played clarinet. My brother played drums. My parents were very talented musicians, unfortunately, they didn't become famous but we grew up with almost every instrument and had music lessons from age 5 years old. So we were taught to learn and appreciate all musical genres as well as instruments,as well as the musicians singers. This is certainty a sentimental song for me,because my mother passed in September, 1997 and we found so much of her sheet music and of course, Autumn Leaves was in the group. My brother got all the sheer music, because, he plays in a band. My children and grandchildren, each took music lessons and I can proudly say, they each play an instrument. Her last video ,she was 83 and died shortly. after. She is Missed I hope she has children to carry on her legend and legacy May she have had a peaceful transition. I like to think she may have met my parents and all the musicians who went before her. I got emotional listening to her, today. It is. like she and my parents and all the musicians in my family and who were my parents friends, came together today to honor Ms.Begie. Adair.

I have just learned of this Lady and I absolutely love her! I am immediately a fan. And I am So Sorry, I just learned that she passed away in January 2022. What a great loss! I would have LOVED to have met her. Her talent and gifting was very moving and I Absolutely enjoyed her to the fullest, especially me being a musician (keyboardist) myself. God Bless your memory, Ms. Adair.

This Beegie Adair Trio gives me a relaxed and calm feeling in both my body and mind. It's a very Great threesome ! A great pianist, a perfect double bass and a great drummer. All in all, I give a big 10 for this fantastic Jazz concert and also for the many musical numbers they play in the Jazz area. This is certainly a great instrumental trio.

I just "discovered" Beegie Adair because Pandora has been putting her music in my jazz channel. There is definitely a different quality to her music; the moment I heard her rendition of That Sunday, That Summer by Nat Cole, I came to youtube to find her. With this live performance, I can see clearly why she played as she did, there's no separation being her and the piano. Sad to see that she passed away last year but nice to read how well-loved and classy a person she and her husband were. Godspeed!
