I think that is the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard. My wife and I are separating and hearing this eloquent yet achingly emotionally raw rendition makes me want to cheer and sob at the same time. She took a standard that I usually think of as cute and fun and made it into something that moves me like a shakespearean tragedy. Forgive my ramblings, this woman is a sublime artist.

“Autumn Leaves" is a popular song and jazz standard composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945 with original lyrics by Jacques Prévert in French (original French title: "Les Feuilles mortes"), and later by Johnny Mercer in English. An instrumental version by pianist Roger Williams was a number one best-seller in the US Billboard charts of 1955. Thanks.

@@thebeatman3289 Well, it's simple. I divided it into 4 part (each part has an "ending" sound to it) and practice it gradually, play it over and over again until I get the hang of the finger position then listen to this for more reference. It's 100% not very effective but it works for me.

Robert Seviour, for the fuller meaning of numinous, learn the life and music of Franz Schubert (1797-1828), the greatest composer in history. He composed over 1,200 pieces of lieder, piano sonatas, chamber music, symphony, and opera, which is more than Mozart and Beethoven combined and dies at 31.

Such amazing musicality and discipline. When Ms Lee moves into the final passage of the song at 5:00 she begins playing the lower strings in a sotto voce that draws you in and at that point she has made you part of the song and the experience. She displays a mastery of what every musician should have as their goal, that is to be able to play and feel the song deeply, as she obviously does. And then to move the listener so that they share in the feeling.

We are in 2021 no one should be judged or be looked down just because you like something or the other. I'm glad and humble to have the chance to appreciate at least one piece of most genres i know of, even hindi 20's classics. I hope you're doing fine man, and give every type of music a chance. Don't be conciously blind to other experiences, there's always something great in all places. I also play guitar, mainly rock and metal, and some piano.
