BEEF LIVER, Pan Seared with ONIONS and PEPPERS | Liver and Onions 2022 | Kenyan Maini Recipe

Today in my kitchen am sharing this delicious Beef Liver recipe, pan seared with onions, peppers ,spices and herbs.
A simple recipe that you can make on any day of the week.
Lets get started
INGREDIENTS NEEDED
2.5 lbs (1.1kg ) Beef liver
2 Tbs Vegetable oil
Salt and Ground pepper to taste
1 Large white onion, peeled and sliced
Half each green ,red and orange/yellow bell peppers, julienne
1 Small hot chili ( optional )
1Big Ripe Tomato ( 2 Roma/plum tomatoes ), chopped
1 Tsp Cumin
1Tbs Coriander
1 Tsp Paprika
1/2 Lemon, juiced
1/4 cup Cilantro , chopped for cooking and garnishing

    This liver and onions recipe is the prettiest and most perfectly cooked I've seen on KZread. My dad, who was a professional chef, used to cook it like this in the restaurant. The key to achieving perfection with liver is knowing how to combine the vegetables, and you can't overcook the meat. While the other vegetables are optional, they add great color to the final dish. Super job!

    My mother use to make smothered calf liver with onions and serve it up with rice, and her choice of beans and corn bread when I was a child and it was outstanding! When I return home for another visit with my mom, I will make your version for her and let you know how she rates your dish chef. I really enjoy going on your guided trips down memory lane.

    Hello Chef D Wainaina, this has been a challenge for me for decades. I even stopped buying lever in 2010. It always turned mushy. But I did this recipe earlier today.     I would make liver and onions when I was 12 or 14 during the Vietnam war. Your recipe would be fantastic for any protein. I sure wish my family liked liver. Good job. I would love to eat your cooking. Kenya is a nice place to visit, unless you would like to visit Fresno, CA.

    Does the age of the liver affect the taste? I had liver in my freezer for about 3 months and I just made it and it wasn't as tasty. I followed the recipe to the t... I even soaked the liver for an extra 15 minutes in milk.
