@@dolleeshay9831 I watched that when I was a young child, like 20-ish years ago; mostly I just remember being extremely freaked out by a swamp that someone was going to fall into lol. (And that someone threw their head around or something (?)) I tried looking up her outfit online, did you mean the one with the vest with swirls? (Haha sorry, I was just curious)

Im so sketched out. The photographer we are talking to said he will have a second shooter and theyll be there 8 hours. Then they include an engagement session, a first anniversary session, a boudoir session. As well as unlimited photo edits, an album, and digital images. They then said that if i book this week that i upgrade to the next year including 3 more sessions. With an extra hour or photos. All for 2k. It sounds too cheap for me. And they said a normal videographer would charge 2500 and they could get me a discount for 1500. And now im worried that its too good to be true. But i dont want to miss this chance.

Choosing a photographer was the hardest part for me. It was very important to me and I thought I had done all the proper research, went with the guy who presented the most professional-looking portfolio, he was middle of the road in pricing, so not the cheapest option and had real weddings to his name. I've finally gotten all the photos back and they are mediocre at best. There are a lot of repetitive shots and none of some other shots that we took. None of the guys getting ready at all, and there were two photographers! And now he's not answering any of my communications. I'm glad he was one of only two vendors that I had to choose as we were 95% DIY. But super disappointed. It's really hard to pick the right people. I agree with Stevieray, go with your gut. I had reservations about the one I chose but went with it anyway and now I don't even want to look at my photos.

Honest question when giving a guest count to a catering vendor do you include the photographer(s)?/do you feed the photographer(s)?

Um, if you’re putting together a 150 song playlist then you ARE doing the DJ’s job. Or at least most DJs.

I just got engaged, and have $300 for a used dress. I'm having a hard time finding one, any advice?

I highly recommend Hebeos. They have a lot of beautiful dresses, fitted to your measurements for sub $300. I got mine there and absolutely loved it. Good quality, no complaints at all.

As a same sex couple, we are asking each and every vendor if they have worked with same sex couples in the past. We 1) dont want to feel any sort of discomfort day of and 2) want to make sure they have experience with things like different terminology, understanding why family relationships might be strange, and not enforcing gendered photos and such. It’s been really good and helped us weed out a lot of people who, though well meaning, might not be the kind of affirming we want on our wedding day
