Nice summery, but for wedding physical, or paper invites are a must, this is such a special event some would argue the biggest party they will ever throw in their life, to make it extra special paper invites are a must… e-vites are too basic for a wedding and take away from the experience…. But it’s your special day so you gotta do you, but always great to treat yourself 🙌🏽

Long poofy conservative dress for the ceremony and a comfortable mini dress for dancing is just so much more practical! Love this "trend" and will do the same for my wedding.

Had me until the evites. I love opening that envelope. There’s a generation who wouldn’t even know how to open an Evite and I wouldn’t want to make them feel like they were obsolete. Perhaps if you are getting married in someone’s yard?

We’re lucky as we have a friend who’s a graphic designer and very kindly offered to do our invites for us 🥰 Although I agree E-invites are better for many reasons there’s something about physically having an invite that makes it extra special. I know I’ll like to keep one to look back on too ☺️

Agree! It’s so nice to keep it plus it’s nice to have a photo of that with other elements of the wedding such as shoes, jewellery etc, so it’s a nice memory

I am _relieved_ to discover that nothing about my wedding is trendy except the black, and even that is a lot more hogwild on my end than any of the examples you provided (invitations, seating chart, the linens, my only bridesmaid/maid of honour is going to be in a tuxedo like the groomsmen, possibly my dress, etc). My groom has a metric tonne of cousins around our age, the last thing I want to have is a wedding where everyone's seen everything before.

When you said on average it takes a couple around 12-18months to plan a wedding and get everything sorted i was gob smacked! I've been engaged to my partner 9 years and its only this month we decided to start making plans and buying bits to put away towards it nothing has been agreed no dates made im just buying and diy things as I go! For me to be able to afford a wedding in that time I would be skint everyday for the next 18 months and probably be in alot of debt , in trying make everything seem less cost by buying bits as I go ! Im no idea guests etc be coming but its no more than 25 as I'm having a tiny wedding. My wedding would be a mix of 2 colors which would be a sage green / eucalyptus green with peachy pink very rustic using lots of burlap , woods and glass and I would have a ton of peachy pink peonies , pink roses , white babies breath and eucalyptus mixed in . Everything almost 80% of my wedding would be diy by myself and in no way and I making all the things I want in that amount of time lol 🙃 😅 😆 very overwhelming . However great video I agree teracotta orange tones are well in at the moment my bedroom is teracotta wood panels and I love it ! Very much bohemian vibes with pampass grass and bunny tails etc 👌

Considering the display or photo background trend. Always knew I wanted different bridesmaid dresses. No thanks on neon signs or disco balls. The champagne tower looks awesome but too many opportunities for a disaster.

I am definitely not into trends or fashion, I do what I want and don't like to go with the crowd. I like simple and I don't want to force anyone to wear what they don't want. (Other than the fact it has to be a dress!) So I like the idea of the bridesmaids picking their own style dress in our chosen color, which we just ordered from JJ's House! I'm excited to see them! I'm all about saving money and not spending a small fortune when it's possible to not spend so much so I like the e-vites, with the exception of some older guests, parents and such. I'm wearing my dress the whole day. I'll be having some black elements since it's a Harry Potter theme, so quite a bit darker colors. I have flameless candles that still have a wax exterior so no need for extra casings. Using chalkboards for displays and signage. Ceremony will be outdoors. Just a more subdued style and it completely fits us and it's what we want. (We are super introverted) :) It's funny that the 70's are coming back in so many aspects of life, I see that type of clothing everywhere now. It's not my thing but more power to others.

Hi Lauren, I am a wedding videographer and am finding many brides just not able to afford a professional video created of their day. What are your thoughts on this topic?

Going to stick to the black and white theme for wedding, might have some red sprinkled around in the flowers or chocolates etc. The welcome sign, guest book, table plan, order of the day etc will all be in black and white. This just means that I can design it myself and keep everything simple.

I’m having a 60s/70s theme but I’m not a trend type person - my fiancé and I both love and collect vintage decor and I also collect vintage clothing but then randomly these past couple of years 70s started trending 😅 it’s bittersweet for me because I don’t like that it makes me seem more basic even though I already am into 70s but the benefit is that it makes it easier for me finding stuff right now- we are going to use several colors and funny you bring up orange and pink and they are my favorite colors.

Same! We are 70s psychedelic rock fans with our home covered in framed posters from concerts and festivals and thrifted vintage decor and vinyls… love hate relationship with our style being so on trend

I'm getting married next September and i can't think about a theme and colors ! I've already booked the venue etc I just haven't set a theme yet 🙃 I'm stuck between a pale/dusty blue and gold rustic theme or a burgundy red burnt orange boho which look amazing together. I wanted mixed bridesmaid dresses but if I do the blue im only doing blue and gold and I would want to stick to one blue , if I do the burgundy and burnt ornage boho they could mix between the 2 colors. My venue has red burgundy carpets with dark wood nd I know it sounds silly but I wanted to add burgundy at first because of that incase any other color clashes with the burgundy carpet :( can't think of any of colors that would match that are in style and would match burgundy other than burnt orange 🍊

Colors I think looks great with burgundy are blue,green,real,peach, yellow. Try going to a local craft shop,grab a burgundy flower and different colors with it.See what you like. Have fun planning

Lol the wedding dress change has been going on in awhile in my country. Its not something new tho. Some people (mostly the rich ones) even change dress 3 to 4x, how its even a trend? I thought that was common to switch to an evening dress
