When I sat down and started editing this I thought the same thing to myself about how murky and muddy the water was this week.

Lucky for the beavers they don’t have too much to rebuild and the material is always dumped nearby! 🤪

That really is some cloudy water! What type of soil are you dealing with there? Looks like a couple type of clay, a sand layer, AND a loamy topsoil? I am guessing you are near a river delta?

You are correct. It is a clay loam. We are in the Mississippi and Arkansas river deltas

@@BarrettFarmsAha! Well, I think you are doing a great job with that particular combo! I grew up on red clay myself. And now I am gardening in "post-glacial sand" so I am trying to make it hold any water at all. Wishing you a great week ahead!

Love your videos. Can you use a mini excavator scoop to really clean out the area all around the gate, to make it even harder for the beavers to rebuild?

Interesting you ask that. I am making the rounds today and see that our farmer was here with a backhoe this week. I will share the results in the next post. Thanks for watching!

Inutile si les castors y sont encore. Plus efficace et total avec de la machinerie. Filmer de près = inintéressant! À refaire autrement.

It depends, they only work on it at night but usually they can have it plugged up again in by the end of the first night, sometimes I takes them two nights to get it fully stopped again.
