OMFG I've worked in AE for 5 years and spent so much time fiddling with with multiple alpha mattes for different layers. I never knew the 'set matte' effect existed until this tutorial. Thank you and I'm kicking myself XD

Freakin blown away Ben, recreating Global Illumination in AE...especially on 2D layers!! Ugh...will try that Set Matte effect. So awsome👍🏼✨

Nice! I was playing around with layer styles today funnily enough! It sucks I can't double up on the same layer style though. Feels very limiting seeing as I can't have the bevel and emboss have a noisy texture without changing the blending mode to Dissolve where as the inner glow has a slider for noise amount.

Ohh yes, the set matte effect is a really underrated one! It definitely deserves some lovin, great video as always

The inner shadow with noise turned on creates another interesting effect, try it out
