logos are actually meant to be super simplistic to be easily memorable. for example, the apple and mcdonalds logo. the problem with oversimplifying logos is most take the elements of what made the logo look good.

​@@kienserapio I thought they maybe meant generic. The M and the apple logo are very simple, and that’s part of what makes them so iconic, but they also don’t resemble other logos you see much. They stand out despite their simplicity. The logos in the video were also pretty simple, but not generic.

You just can’t unsee the 2nd logo, lol. And the lean in with that final “pizazz” was hilarious. Well played!

One thing that could make that last logo somewhat decent would be a different roof shape, but it's more memorable this way.

This video had me SCREAMING! Your British references were on point, who doesn't love a little King's sausage fingers and beans on toast with a lavely bit o' Houses of Parliament sauce. Splendid as always Ben!

I wasn't a fan of the London 2012 logo at first. But I grew to love it once the Games started. Regardless of the aesthetic merit of its design, it is at least distinctive and is part of some wonderful memories of a great Olympics.

the temple one... you just had to animate an extra springy push downwards, didn't you? love it

The unfortunate part about the logo animation with a hard cut to reveal the final logo is that relies heavily on the accompanying audio to make it all work. watching it on mute or behind some other music piece runs the risk of dismantling how cool it all looks by making that hard cut transition just feel awkward and out of place.

Your animation on the Olympics logo actually made it make sense and I now love it! (Even though I never really hated it)

Hey Ben, amazing work with storytelling in this video (I assume we all know your greatness in animation so even no need to mention it), is there some place or way you learned it, or can you share some tips and tricks? As a fellow animator I can animate stuff, but this fun way to showcase your work process is totally different thing! Appreciate your work man 👏

You really have a great knack for this comedy tutorial style. Always just the right amount of extra bits and it feels like you're telling a story rather than showing me how to do something (but also doing that)

I had this weird anxious feeling that kept growing during the video. I couldn't put my finger on it but i knew something wasn't right or something was missing. It kept growing and growing until finally, when the flame of hope was about to go out, less than a minute before the video ended it happened. "We always label our layers". At last, I let out a huge sigh of relief. All was well in the world.

I lost everything with that logo reveal! Just brilliant! As a Brazilian, I am proud of the way you emphasize the essence of the logo! 😂

Deep glow and Red Giants Glows are indeed good - however, I find it so odd that Adobe almost never updates or makes new plugins for AE - Not talking about complex things like particular etc but base level things like linear glows, noise types, unmult etc - anyways, great video as always.

I should note as an additional point against the London Olympics logo that it's a roughly square shape composed of four sharply bent arms. Those are just risky in general.

I've spent on some pictures and edits so much time and nerves, but still loving it. Sometimes relying on just doing it with my own hands, because I have no idea how to use some tools. Editing pixel by pixel, and trying out shades and shapes. Still I got some cool vibes from being reminded of those moments, and just love the video. Thats one of the reasons why I tried to get audiovisual education, well I slipped to IT in the end, and they share some elements, but one can focus on other.
