Yeah the guitar player for Led Zeppelin is named Jimmy Page and he was known for liking young girls. So they line is "If I play guitar I beat Jimmy Page, the girlies I like are underage." So he's really taking a shot at Jimmy Page. They were good no doubt.

They were actually dissing Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin who was known to hook up with underage girls.

The Beasties seem underrated to the younger gen but all the old-school rappers knew what was up. Meth and Red Man used that last change on their first colab album. And as old dudes themselves, they know they mean little to the new Gen of rappers. They don't really seem to care either way. They had their day and they fucked that day up. Great reaction!

They were like 17-19 years old when this was written. So they were underage, more or less

They were young, but they were still in early 20s. Ad-Rock was 20yo. The line was a diss to Jimmy Page.

There's a story to why they didn't air it. May have been during that last season. But it was a full performance and everything.

The remarkable thing with them is there are NO cuss words in there lyrics. I'm shocked that no one pointed that out. And they still sound good! Take care and stay well everyone.

It's not that remarkable. That generation of rap they came from. Rakim, Big Daddy Kane. LL(80s LL). They all cussed sparingly.

@@DirtCheapFU If they did they disguise it in their lyrics. I remember when "Erotic City came out by Prince. It was heavily censored or got very little air play on mainstream radio. But I didn't hear the foul and degrading language in today's hip hop until West Coast rap because the norm. Take care and stay well.

That line wasnt a diss to Jimmy Page. Hes sampled on half the lp, Shes Crafty etc. They was 18 & 19 writting this. The line is as serious as Mike D rapping Im never dusting out CUZ I TORCH THAT CRACK. The underage line is as serious as he is about smoking crack
