Everyone wants to remember Ryan Dunn, but no one talks about the other 29 year-old victim Zach Hartwell. Dunn is responsible for his death! It was a really bad choice Dunn made by driving while intoxicated with a passenger in the car. Any death is sad, but when it could've been prevented by making correct choices, it makes it almost unbearable to the families of the victims!

Dude got into the car with a drunk person though. I've done it as well when I was younger, much younger than 29 in fact, I was drunk too...I wasn't driving but I've gotten into the car with a drunk person like an idiot and it was stupid, he even thought there was a cop behind us on our way back and gave it the beans and we ramped off those humps in the street if you know what I mean, like those dips over an intersection, and literally got a little bit of air, and damn near took my sisters front bumper off ( it was my sisters car he drove)...luckily we made it back, I didn't even know I did something so stupid...it wasn't until several years later did I realize i did something that dumb. He was dumb for getting into that car, last mistake he ever made...hopefully people watch this and learn from it. Car's are nothing to play around with, but people still play with them like they are toys, and on public roads. if you're gonna play, go play somewhere where you aren't putting lives at danger.

@@Siegefya Sure, but the person with keys and the person driving has the overall responsibility. We all make dumb choices. I got into a car with a friend who was drinking when I was 19 and it scared the ungodly hell out of me. Luckily I lived to learn my lesson. Everyone made bad choices, but the severity of those choices aren't the same. We can then blame the bar for letting him leave if we are just randomly placing blame. We could go on and on, but the person with the most responsibility was the one who probably knew he shouldn't be driving, but convinced himself he could. In this video it states that a friend thought Ryan looked able to drive. So it isn't a stretch that the friend who passed away may have thought the same. But we can't read peoples minds. I am sure it wasn't Ryans first time driving drunk, so as with most alcoholics, they think they can handle it better than most people. Which is never true. That is simply a mixture of addiction and feeling invincible.

One crash ive always wondered about... there is no footage it would be difficult to recreate... but Tony Renna who died on Oct 22 2003, which was a cold morning during a Firestone tire test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Driving his Indy car at 227 mph... I hear he was going into turn 3 and do to cold temperatures he slipped slightly with a tire barely touching the wet dew grass. The car shot up the track so violently that he went airborne and the tire marks faded from the pavement. His car flew just over the 4' wall and into the catch fence bottom side first and the entire car was graded through the fence... part of the drivers tub hanged in the fence... parts of Renna's body and several parts of his car were thrown to the other side of the fence into the empty grandstand and even underneath it. they found several parts from the vehicle on the other side of the grandstand i believe there was a parking lot or something over there. The IRL did everything they could to cover up the details of the crash... there was supposedly unpublished footage from a security camera captured... I believe that was turned over to authorities for investigation. It was also rumored that a bird was flying through turn 3 and was the cause of Renna slipping. "But what it didn't mention was the dead gull-sized bird found lying on the track in the entrance of Turn 3 -- where the 26-year-old driver lost control at 227 mph." -- quote from article by Robin Miller I have always been fascinated with this crash and would love to see if you could do a video of that crash. RIP Tony Renna =(

RIP Ryan Dunn and Zac Hartwell. Although witnesses claimed he had only 3 Miller lites and 3 “girly” shots between 10:30 pm and 1 am or so, his BAC was .196 and this was after extraction far later than when the crash happened. Maybe 10-11 drinks total. Just if he would have called an Uber/Taxi or had a designated driver this would have never happened.

It's not really what happened. There was no other vehicle. There are two sets of skidmarks on that road at the time of the crash but the second ones in the outer lane aren't related. The exit there was the exit to west chester which he tried to take too fast, car understeered, he hit the brakes hard, the brakes locked up with the car still turning slightly, went half way between the exit and the carriageway and hit the tree going a rumoured 130mph.

One thing though. There were skid marks where Dunn tried to brake. And also, how did they know they were passing a truck and lost control?? I never heard anything about a truck, and even so, how would anyone know if there were no survivors to tell about it?

That's not true, the creator of the video bullsh*tted or lied about that part for some reason. It was 2 am. I've been out there at night before, I'll bet you there wasn't another soul on that road for miles. There were no other witnesses that saw the crash other than Dunn and Zack. They were going way too fast, wasted, and made a bad call to try to make that turn instead of just keeping straight and slowing down. But you do things like that when intoxicated

yes I heard that he attempted a pass and tried to make the exit at a higher angle. not sure if it occurred that near to the offramp though, but it wouldnt take much in a RSGT3

I'm confused everyone says the car immediately went up in flames instantly but the police chief said he's never seen a car so badly destroyed even before it caught on fire ..so wouldn't that mean the police got to see the car before it burst into flames wouldn't that have taken time for the 911 call to go in and for the p9lice to get to the crash site?

There is a outside theory that a certain issue known to Porsche's happened involving the suspension causing massive oversteer and a fatal accident another example is Paul walker DDE proved there's a issue them selfs when they had a suspension come apart while driving

Paul walker crash was caused by old tires which caused the car to hit the pole

It has nothing to do with the suspension but the fact that they are rear engine cars. Basically the engine is on the rear axle which inherently causes more oversteer than a front or mid engine car. This configuration attracts a lot of people since it is harder to drive but very rewarding when driven properly. Porches are usually referred to as “driver cars” for this reason.

The porsche paul walker in was known as being difficult to handle anyway they and the tires on it were OLD supposedly contributing to the crash.. This crash as seen by the rake skids was caused by trying to take the exit ramp while going to fast brakes locked up the tires which then made the car unmanuevarable.. at least from the data i saw

why tf is people always talking about all these weird problems instead of just acknowledging that he was drunk for 1...so he made a really dumb highway driving decisions, and 2 going way too fvcking fast, it's not like dude was going 80, no he was going 130...you're most likely gonna die going that fast if you crash regardless of some arbitrary failure. Guarantee the car was fine, and it was the person behind the wheel that was the failure. And no Idgaf if that is rude or mean, it wasn't just him that died, it was the idiot who decided to get into the car with him as well. Just stupidity, that's what caused the crash.
