Beadwork Project #1 / Southern Plains Influenced Style Moccasin part 01
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The "earthlodge / Beadwork in Progress" series shows the process of my beadwork projects from the beginning to the end.
This video is Part 1 of a two-part project titled "Southern Plains Style Moccasin".
My beadwork design is influenced by various tribal styles. I appreciate and love all forms of beadwork and my creations are based on what I've learned combined with my own personal take and approach. I am not looking to reproduce any particular tribal style. I am simply taking elements I like personally and incorporating them into my work.

Absolutely beautiful work! The way you connected the rows was a new technique to me, one that I’ll be implementing in my own beadwork. Thanks for the awesome video and keep up the amazing work! ❤

Yes, it is a brain tanned deer hide. I've been saving some hides got from my native friends. Sometimes hard to find though. I am glad you enjoyed my work.
Beautiful Work. Might I ask what you used to trace your design onto the hide with? I've tried pencil, doesn't work. Don't want to use a pen. Miigwetch

I use pencil mainly. Yes, they tend to be faded during a process. So I draw the basic line first and add the rest when I start to work on that part. I use sharpie occasionally but pencil is easy to erase if necessary.
did u tack down the beads as go go along???
