I have managed to run into 3 cross-dominant novice shooters whom, with a little coaching, wind up shooting like you do (right handed pistol, left handed rifle). The sling has always been the sticking point in this. One of the 3 is trying this next range trip.

Excellent sling set-up. This same exact sling set-up/manipulation also works great on tactical shotguns which have proper QD sling mounts (e.g. a TS12 as factory-equipped, or an 870 or 500/590 equipped with a MesaTactical LEO Gen II telescoping buttstock). Years back, I modified my M1A Scout-Squad by in-letting a QD sling mount into the right-rear (i.e., non-cheek weld) side of the walnut buttstock and then installing a side-offset short Picatinny rail forward on the opposite side, in order to achieve the same basic set-up on that battle rifle, that Larry's running on his M4.

I use a Magpul RSA on the top pic rail of my AR right at the point where the hand guard and upper meet to attach the front of my sling. It makes the gun hang muzzle down no matter what. The gun can't flip over and the muzzle can't rise. The rear is attached to a QD end plate. The RSA also reinforces where the hand guard and upper meet. Even if all of the screws fall out of the hand guard attachment mechanism it will still stay on and stay properly clocked. Very important if you run any kind of laser aiming system. I prefer attaching the rear to the end plate b/c I also want the ability to convert to a single point sling. If you attach to the stock then the gun hangs too low if you convert it to single point. Putting the front sling attachment as close to the upper is the best spot in my opinion. Its close to the gun's center of gravity when you have a mag inserted.

I got one of those push-button quick detach sling swivels a few years ago for my service rifle (can't remember which manufacturer but it was a name-brand swivel) and the first time I took it out on exercise it got wet from the rain and immediately rusted shut. Ever since then I don't trust those things. Great for the range I'm sure, not so much for practical applications.

If you want to go to the rear swivel on the end plate I recommend putting it around your shoulders the other way where the top is over your shoulder and the front is under your opposite arm. That gives the best control with the muzzle down. Plus makes going 1 point much easier.

Awesome video, however you have a pretty unique case with righty/lefty shooting. Maybe a video on the basics, or what you're looking to accomplish with the sling would be useful. Address the muzzle orientation and discipline, strongside/weakside shooting and transitions, why you might sling to your back, long range shooting and bracing with the sling, and other best practices and then the user could really fine tune the setup to their needs.
