Wow, thanks! Nice camera angles, I couldn't see shit!
To the point instruction on a great sling. Kyle Lamb is a humble legend.
5 year old very informative but wished the camera man did closeups while he explained

@@southernviking3113 sometimes it’s not about looking good. Sometimes it’s all about using what you have to not look bad. I’m bald as a cue ball. If I don’t have a beard, I look like Dr Evil. I’d rather have a funky grey and dark brown beard.
My two favorite parts were when the camera was one block away and when ol puddin beard covered every movement with his body.

My thoughts exactly!
Well done. You show in detail how to properly attach the sling to the rifle and explain the reasons for such an attachment. You also demonstrate the different carry positions for that sling and why and you demonstrate and explain the quick adjustments and reasons for those adjustments. This is a great "step by step" video. Thanks guys! :)
I purchased this sling. Once I got it setup similar to the video I like it even more. I had contemplated swapping it for another sling. However after setting it up properly it’s fantastic and comfortable. I have the padded version. I like the metal adjust mechanism.
That beard is weird!
lots of BS commentary, I'm sorry to see that. I liked this video for a number of reasons. The most important reason is that I am learning slings, not giving a damn about brand recognition. this video provided a great explanation to the systems and was very helpful. This info could not only save me from looking like a dumb ass on the range, but ultimately save my life and someone else even. Good video.

Thank you Mr. Lamb for this vid. Now i´m using the VTAC 2 Point Padded Sling for my HAENEL CR223 (it´s a German AR-15 clone with short-piston system) too...
Great video. I love watching true experts teach basic principles. Thanks
Never thought of wrapping the rear of the buttstock. However it’s a great idea especially for stocks that have the attachment point at the bottom and not a left or right side attachment. One tip I use to always tell first time sling users so they remember how to mount it is (this is for right handed. Do the opposite if you’re a lefty). Always attach it to the buttstock on the same side of the ejection port and then opposite side up front. This is so when putting it to your shoulder it doesn’t get in the way. Remember stuff ejects from your butt.
The v-tac slings are all I buy. Great slings!!!
This is the best sling video on youtube.
this is like an educational movie! LOVE IT! to the point! varieties! application! well done sirs!
Really great sling, however with all “accessories needed” in my opinion should some with the sling, all out the door is about $125, we are talking single with metal buckle, quick detach swivel, and the low profile sling mount.
LOL when people have youtube arguments over a $50 sling XD
Got one yesterday just to try out. I have 2 vickers slings, already think theyre easier and more simple.
Lovin' it. Mine works flawlessly. Thanks
Spot on video. A great, versatile sling.
Ive had many slings and most of them end up in the pile under my work bench, the VTac sling is on my primary and love it so much I had to get more than one.
5:19 who else saw his barrel vibrate like hell??
Thanks for the tips.

For a instructional video The camera work sucks! Thanks
So much very good
No offense, I really like the 5.11 brand and VTAC, but what was the camera guy thinking? At now point does it actually show a clear view of the setup.
I just received mine in the mail today. I'm looking forward to running and gunning the AR with it
I notice that some people mount the front portion of their sling near the muzzle end of the handguard(this is what I do), but others will mount it back much further, almost under the muzzle end of the optic. What are the advantages of either method? I can't seem to find anyone explaining that.
@xeoh85
Жыл бұрын
Mounting front attachment near muzzle provides more stability, both for carrying and for aiming, but decreased mobility for close quarters combat. Mounting front attachment near the magwell flips that, increasing mobility but decreasing stability. It is not a huge difference and mostly comes down to personal preference. Try both and see what you like, or have two front QD attachment points so that you can swap as desired between them depending on what you are doing.

Well consider yourself rational and smart.
Thank you 5.11, I am big into the Semi-MilSim Airsoft competitions and I picked up one of these a while back for my G&G Top-Tech SR-25. It'll work nicely with the barrel extension on the SR-25 considering that it's too long for a single-point sling. I am going to try to threat this through my plate carrier, similarly to how they thread the single-point slings.
And Made in the USA.
Can you explain the price?!

@@chipsterb4946 === I'm so old in grammar school I always carried a pocket knife. And nobody cared. When I was about ten or eleven y/o I wanted a BB gun. Begged my dad for months. He wouldn't have any of it. His experience in Korea turned him off on the idea. Even though it was just a BB gun. To my surprise out of the blue he told me to get in the car. We ended up at K-mart and to my surprise we ended up at the sporting goods section and he purchased a Crosman pump BB gun. We came home and I was the happiest kid in town. He then said, ''I'm only going to tell you this one time''. He then sternly instructed me on the safety aspects and fundamentals of shooting. He then more forcefully told me if he ever saw me use the BB gun in an unsafe manner he would break it in two. He meant it. I'd take that BB gun behind our house which was a popular lake/recreation park. At a good distance I'd shoot against the bank where Ice plant grew and pick off flowers. The point to this. I was a little kid with a BB gun and no one ever bothered me. People would walk by and think it's a kid having fun with a BB gun. Nowadays. If a kid was shooting his BB gun PD would be called out, S.W.A.T. would be deployed and a chopper would be flying overhead. The kid would have manacles slapped on his wrist and he'd be arrested and his parents arrested for child endangerment and neglect. Times have changed. That's why us older guys reminisce and say, ''The good ole days'' when things were normal and freedom was not lost. .

What the **** VTac!! I bought your upgraded hybrid sling for $60 and you mean to tell me a quick connect swivel and mount are $100?!??!?? How the hell is the mount $45 and the swivel another $45. That’s outrageous…I’ll just buy a magpul mount and swivel. Great sling, but those mount and swivel prices are not realistic.

So you want a company selling knockoffs made in China to tell you how to properly handle your rifle? Sounds like you have bigger issues to address besides mounting a sling.
What's up at 2:15, 3:40 and 5:19.......with the barrel? See the wobble in it? Surely that's not normal barrel movement? Almost looks like something is loose.

So in all reality before I dis on this video, I do enjoy VTAC, they have some great gear and attachments. However if we can all steer away and focus on his selling point for the sling. I see nothing special. Many two point slings I have used come with these exact specs. What is the real difference here that a cheaper model. Again still a great brand but I am just not sold on the sling.
Shaving isn,t easy?!

I had a CETME years and years ago. Nothing will check your ego faster than a 2 or 3 point sling. I had flashbacks of my dad yelling at me for f*cking up three letter words while teaching me how to read. 3 point slings open up portals to the 4th dimension.
