    Well done. You show in detail how to properly attach the sling to the rifle and explain the reasons for such an attachment. You also demonstrate the different carry positions for that sling and why and you demonstrate and explain the quick adjustments and reasons for those adjustments. This is a great "step by step" video. Thanks guys! :)

    lots of BS commentary, I'm sorry to see that. I liked this video for a number of reasons. The most important reason is that I am learning slings, not giving a damn about brand recognition. this video provided a great explanation to the systems and was very helpful. This info could not only save me from looking like a dumb ass on the range, but ultimately save my life and someone else even. Good video.

    Never thought of wrapping the rear of the buttstock. However it’s a great idea especially for stocks that have the attachment point at the bottom and not a left or right side attachment. One tip I use to always tell first time sling users so they remember how to mount it is (this is for right handed. Do the opposite if you’re a lefty). Always attach it to the buttstock on the same side of the ejection port and then opposite side up front. This is so when putting it to your shoulder it doesn’t get in the way. Remember stuff ejects from your butt.

    I notice that some people mount the front portion of their sling near the muzzle end of the handguard(this is what I do), but others will mount it back much further, almost under the muzzle end of the optic. What are the advantages of either method? I can't seem to find anyone explaining that.

  • @xeoh85

    @xeoh85

    Жыл бұрын

    Mounting front attachment near muzzle provides more stability, both for carrying and for aiming, but decreased mobility for close quarters combat. Mounting front attachment near the magwell flips that, increasing mobility but decreasing stability. It is not a huge difference and mostly comes down to personal preference. Try both and see what you like, or have two front QD attachment points so that you can swap as desired between them depending on what you are doing.

It'll work nicely with the barrel extension on the SR-25 considering that it's too long for a single-point sling. I am going to try to threat this through my plate carrier, similarly to how they thread the single-point slings.

    @@chipsterb4946 === I'm so old in grammar school I always carried a pocket knife. And nobody cared. When I was about ten or eleven y/o I wanted a BB gun. Begged my dad for months. He wouldn't have any of it. His experience in Korea turned him off on the idea. Even though it was just a BB gun. To my surprise out of the blue he told me to get in the car. We ended up at K-mart and to my surprise we ended up at the sporting goods section and he purchased a Crosman pump BB gun. We came home and I was the happiest kid in town. He then said, ''I'm only going to tell you this one time''. He then sternly instructed me on the safety aspects and fundamentals of shooting. He then more forcefully told me if he ever saw me use the BB gun in an unsafe manner he would break it in two. He meant it. I'd take that BB gun behind our house which was a popular lake/recreation park. At a good distance I'd shoot against the bank where Ice plant grew and pick off flowers. The point to this. I was a little kid with a BB gun and no one ever bothered me. People would walk by and think it's a kid having fun with a BB gun. Nowadays. If a kid was shooting his BB gun PD would be called out, S.W.A.T. would be deployed and a chopper would be flying overhead. The kid would have manacles slapped on his wrist and he'd be arrested and his parents arrested for child endangerment and neglect. Times have changed. That's why us older guys reminisce and say, ''The good ole days'' when things were normal and freedom was not lost. .

    thats bullshit and you know it.. hope you know how all kinds of special units use to engage their targets right.. with pure aggression what means they all get out from their cover or w/e where everyone just fires like crazy then lets say your main weapon fails at 5th round.. you just have to pull out your hand gun or something else at least semi automatic to continue rainin those bullets down range what keeps the enemies suppressed and basically out of control.. i guess that guy is just old stubborn and slow imo xD

    NotEvenDeathCanSaveYouFromMe You can't grasp simple principle behind this kind of training, can't you? If you want watch trickshooters, just watch instructor zero or Jerry Miculek

    I had a CETME years and years ago. Nothing will check your ego faster than a 2 or 3 point sling. I had flashbacks of my dad yelling at me for f*cking up three letter words while teaching me how to read. 3 point slings open up portals to the 4th dimension.
