i can't imagine the tv closing down. how did people live without the learning hour, gambling and looped infomercials.

Quite like the way he handles Radios 1 & 2. It does seem very strange now that Jim'll Fix It lasted so long.

I kind of thought that as well - at Christmas 1985, the year they had those robins, they simply reverted back to the standard COW globe at closedown, I'm surprised they didn't do the same for this year. The 1992 ident was cute though; wish I was old enough to remember it properly (I was four and three quarters)

I personally feel that they should've reverted back to the then-current Virtual Globe at closedown for Christmas 1992.

Does anyone know, was Neighbours shown twice on 28th December 1992? GIven the fact the festive schedule started at 5:45PM I'm guessing it was either shown earlier or only had the one screening

BBC1 chose the Queen picture to sign off because they thought their Christmas Ident was too jolly to have with the national anthem being played! Isn't it a dirge? PS: Why didn't BBC1 promote their Sunday menu before Holiday Monday. That isn't tomorrow's evening line-up.

:| Queen Elizabeth II just looks at you for half a minute..... That's all that happens. No context at all. I don't think the Queen has to do with Christmas. lmao
