''Truth hurts but lies kill' Somewhere deep in the bowels of the BBC is a top secret document that could explain a great deal about the corporation's decision to boycott the aid appeal for Gaza. It is called the Balen Report and has been seen only by a small number of individuals at the very top of the BBC. They commissioned Malcolm Balen, a senior editorial adviser, to investigate allegations that the BBC's coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was biased. Balen examined hundreds of hours of broadcast material, television and radio, and analysed the content in minute detail, often scrutinising journalists' individual phrases and choice of words. He then put his conclusions in a 20,000-word report. If BBC executives had hoped for a clean bill of health they were to be disappointed. Balen's findings, given highly restricted circulation at the end of 2004, were frightening. Although they were kept secret, elements leaked out, including Balen's conclusion that the BBC's Middle East coverage had been biased against Israel. The enormity of this can hardly be overstated. Apart from the corporation's legal obligation to be impartial, it had struggled for years to counter allegations that its reporting favoured the Palestinians. They always start with the question of the Palestinian reaction because they want to catch you. If you say the violence is justified, you're framed as someone who encourages violence. If you say it isn't justified, you are framed as though you're saying Palestinians are purely in the wrong. The leading question is narrow on purpose, and provides the same outcome however you answer. Absolute, clear bias.

The United kingdom of great Britain should be ashamed ? The Bristish occupiers of England , Scotland , Wales & Northern Ireland, who by ideology are Marxist . To be honest, if I lived in an occupied zone that was being treated like that by a nearby neighbour, and somebody told me, I know a way we can fight back, I would do it too. The alternative is basically expecting people to not defend themselves while they are being conquered. It’s like if some guy walked into your house against your will, started moving things around started taking things out, got right up in your face chest to chest and beg you to throw the first punch, and then you snapped and you did, and all of a sudden you’re the bad guy. It’s just imperialism 101, create the conditions where all it takes is a spark, hope it’s the other side who kicks off first, and then claim the moral high ground for why you need to annihilate them. Happens all the time with border disputes, happens with agent provocateurs in protests, because then whoever has all the power gets to claim the other side is so unreasonable and unruly that for the sake of peace and stability, they need to be hit with a sledgehammer. Ironic that the israelis seem to have learned quite a bit from their grandparents tormentors in 1930s and 40s Europe. Pretty sure uncle Adolf used all the same justification for the Sudetenland and Danzig, this Real Estate used to be ours, there are Germans here who need protection, so we are going to push the locals so far that something happens and then use that as a justification, or we will make up something that happened and use that as a justification.

Also Dalia recently said in an episode of Tysky that she isn't in the Labour Party, nor interested in being, but she didn't elaborate on which party she prefers and why. I get why people would want to stick with the Labour Party even though they don't currently feel welcome, and why it gets the most attention on Novara, but it would certainly be interesting to hear them talk about the arguments for alternatives; particularly the Green Party.
