Hearing you say, “I’m not ready to let go of these characters”… Yup…that’s definitely where I was at this point in the show too. 😢

14:25 Most beautiful moment ever. It didn't matter he was a Cyclon, all that matter was his best friend needed him.

The genocide on Earth seems to have been done by their own version of the cylons (remember how they found cylon heads that looked different?).

Thank you Chris! Yet again, the show asks the questions. Faith, love, intent, how much a part of creation is measured in things immeasurable? What damage does having those things shaken do? We see it not only in Caprica Six, but in Jean, Paula, and Gaius. Is Gaius' seeming true faith 'real' and does it matter if his actions are 'good'? And did you ever expect at the beginning of the show that we would find ourselves wondering if Gaius *has* found faith? This show is outstanding.

A fun game to play on rewatches to is to try and lay down a marker for the point where Gaius stops being sure himself when he's being scheming and when he's being accidentally honest. And see how early you can make it. I also enjoy how this cements Adama in the role of Gaius's arms supplier. I mean, a couple years ago, this guy came to you, asked for a friggin' nuclear warhead, and you gave it to him. Some months later, it somehow wound up on a cruise ship, blew it and a couple others up, and eventually led the Cylons to you to conquer and occupy New Caprica. Now, he comes to you again asking, and... you give him a couple crates full of guns. Makes perfect sense!

On Earth, they built robotic Cylons; they rebelled and massacred the 13th Tribe. (One thing; the 13th Tribe, while they have resurrection, aren't the same as the Colonial Cylons- not even the skinjobs. This, admittedly, blends into my head theory about Liam- the reason he was conceived is that the Colonial Cylons were unable to bear children, and the Earth Cylons probably could conceive together (but Tigh/Ellen were a little past their prime... and the others, well, didn't test it out). Colonial and Earth Cylons were closers, but not quite- could conceive but couldn't carry to term. Humans were able to (genetically) fill in the gaps missing from Colonial Humaniform Cylons enough to reproduce Also, I personally think the 13th Tribe were Humans who chose a forbidden path of downloading instead of procreation, and that's why they left (and/or were exiled- maybe the Lords of Kobol did something similar and the 13th got a little Prometheus...)

Gaius' attempt at loaves and fishes. "And he who hath no sword should sell his fine cloak and buy one." From the guy you want to knee in the balls until he pukes then toss out the airlock, to this. A very lost and confused man who is trying his best to be decent, to again be that farm boy. And losing Liam- Ellen is just bad luck to everyone near her. And I don't think Chris has seen the end yet, so I can say no more.

Welcome! Continuum is on my list, actually! Hopefully it will win a poll one day. I'm currently watching The Expanse, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane Adventures, with a movie reaction each week. I'm likely to include The Haunting of Hill House later this year :)

The show is missing a civil war plotline within the fleet. They also cut a subplot to have Centurions protect the food supply.

Good news is, it isn't over. You still have *Battlestar Galactica: The Plan (2009)* and 19 episodes of *Caprica (2010)* to watch. And a fairly significant character from Battlestar Galactica is in Caprica.

Caprica is undoubtedly inferior to Battlestar Galactica, but it has great actors, and while the storytelling can be uneven at times, that's less noticeable if you aren't watching week to week. And a flawed show can make great reaction material. I enjoyed Caprica, the show is divisive I freely admit, but I'm not the only one who appreciated it.

possible spoiler? Meh on "The Plan". Sometimes, every single thing shouldn't be explained. Sometimes things are more fun and add more interest to the lore, when left unanswered (Shelly Godfrey). The Plan was a bad idea that didn't really need to be made, and honestly, he's better off avoiding it.

  • @paulpenna5615

@@dayres1777 Not going to go into details, because of spoilers, but I did enjoy how they explored... how should we say... duality in Cavill's character. And I found the Shelly Godfrey reveal kinda funny, but in a good way. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what is good and bad, so I won't try to argue the point, however I will say, that even when something is actually bad, that can make a great reaction video.

this is actually my least fav episode of the whole series. i hate what they did between ellen six and saul. just awful soap opera writing with no payoff for the pain. wish i could re-write it :(
