Battle of Waterloo Diorama
Diorama depicting aspects of Waterloo using 54-60mm metal figures from King and Country, W. Britain, Collector's Showcase, Niena Studios, JG Miniatures, and John Jenkins Designs.
This video is more visual whimsy than history, so just enjoy it.

I paint the small 13mm soldiers and many people simply don't know the time and effort involved in doing this.Hats of to all those who paint, cast their own and display their little armies for all to see no matter what side they portray.Great work people and thanks for sharing with us.
One of the best dioramas I’ve ever seen! Lancers vs Highlanders
Fantastic diorama! As a collector myself I can only imagine how much this cost. Well done.

Depends, for clothes and such a matte varnish might be best, but for fur and hair on animals a gloss varnish might be best
When Napoleon left France headed for Brussels he entered into the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Belgium did not become independant until 1840. Wellington used his Dutch troops as cannon fodder and put them in the front line,(under the ridge) on his centre left. When they received heavy bombardment and finally ended up breaking they were despised.

William actually performed reasonably, and the Dutch-Belgians were not used for cannon fodder, and neither were they cowards or performing poorly. They performed just as well as the British troops. Although Cornwell's books are entertaining, Waterloo in particular is grievously inaccurate, as tyhe dutch Belgians performed admirably in the battle.

The Dutch were not cowards, but because of the terrible position they were placed in they broke and Wellington did not seem to like them for some reason. Wellington could be pretty ruthless.

I just got my hands on a dvd of "Waterloo" with Rod Steiger. It is getting pretty hard to find nowadays.

Wellington used troops as he saw fit... to him they were merely tokens on a gaming table. He regarded the British soldiers as scum so it is hardly likely he would he would see the Dutch/Belgians under his command as any more worthy. Now, rightly, we would see them all as heroes.
In what scale they are?
Damn, how many figures are there here????
Where can I get moulds for battles in my area? I need moulds for Black P. Stones, Gangster Disciples, Vice Lords, and Black Disciples? I can't find any of these moulds here in Chicago.
Hi, wgreat stuff. Who built this diorama, and where is it located? I only need to know roughly: I'm listing Waterloo diorama's on my blog (blog is called 'a question of scale', with no spaces). Cheers, Seb
The Prussians are in the woods!
are they metal or plastic?
toll sehr schön gemacht einfach nur klasse
What brand is this?
Are they all King and Country minitures?
hot! hot!!!
Bien hecho el diorama y bien pintadas y decoradas las figuras.pero no se ve en el video el diorama conjunto y no se puede apreciar bien en todo el conjunto.

0:25 dont wanna be a debbie downer but thats not how they carried there weapons (thats how american soldiers in the civilwar did it(wich is 50ish years later!)) furthermore prety good and impresive stuff
I thought that the drummers were young boys
This is brilliant think haw long it took to create it not to mention the money brilliant I'm making a ww1 trench battel sene out of air fix and tree twigs not as good as this
All very nice but again as always the mistake showing napoleon as the smallest man of all. He was in fact 5'6 at a time when most Frenchmen were 5'3.
Si ma memoire est bonne les scotgrey ont chargé contre l'infanterie fe Derlon en masse trop compacte, ce sui rendait l'infanterie incapable de manoeuvrer.
Where are the Dutch and Germans soldiers? Looks like British propaganda while they were only a part of the battle....
