Battle and Liberation: The End of World War II | Countdown to Surrender - The Last 100 Days | Ep. 4
Ойын-сауық
The last days of the World War II are numbered. But before peace comes in May and with it the downfall of Hitler, liberators and liberated alike have to endure the unimaginable.
The last three months of dictatorship and war bring fanaticism, flight, civil courage, blindness, struggle and collapse. The last stand of a murderous regime in the Second World War.
The documentary provides an insight into this significant period in which the Wehrmacht waged a desperate "final battle", millions of people were on the run and the Red Army advanced inexorably. From the harrowing conditions in the concentration camps to the political intrigues in the Führerbunker - experience the moving story of this decisive phase of the Second World War. The documentary takes us through the battles, the liberations, the last days of the Third Reich and the moment when the guns finally fell silent on May 8, 1945. A look back at the hundred days that changed the world.

A good documentary… except for the BLURRING OF the BODIES; that kind of censorship is offensive and unacceptable. STOP THE BLURRING‼️
Seeing Roosevelt at the Yalta conference, looking very fragile, it is not too surprising that he died within a couple of months. His face was hollowed out and his eyes sunken.

Im no fan of cencorship but i appreciate these documentaties (i also have a keen imagination). I have never needed to and continue not to feel any information is being witheld, only the gratuity that is the privilege of the persons at the time to witness. Your comment says more about you than me

Ole Blood and Guts Patton loved to show off. It doesn't surprise me at what he did on the Rhine river
Nice documentary
Good documentary. I’m not sure the blurring out of some scenes was necessary though .
Very good apart from the pathetic blurring of reality. Everybody should see what death looks like.

Yep, got to blot out history. We can't have cupcakes having emotional trauma over seeing a dead soldier.

Allies are not necessarily friends. Often they simply collaborate to defeat a common enemy using the equation "the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' Certainly the Nazis needed to be defeated before other considerations could be dealt with.

Edit this Doco and remove the blurring KZread. It is a disgrace! Scenes of such should be shown to our new Generations! Show them what War does to humans and how F***** Lucky they are to live life so free today and how spoilt the bastards are!
Churchill and Montgomery wanted Berlin but wanted American G.Is to do the majority of the fighting and dying. The American army made up 70% of the allied forces in Western Europe and bore the brunt of casualties of liberating western Europe as a result.
Great film. One can see why the allies had to totally destroy germany keep it occupied for almost fifty years. We still have troops there today under the guise of nato! Speer was the greatest liar of them all

Isn't it odd that the Soviet's also persecuted the Jewish People within their own country? Just saying....
The end of WWII was Aug 14, or officially, September 2, 1945. This is a lot more than 100 days before either of those dates.
I read a pilot was ordered to fly back over Dresden to hit a refugee hospital a day later. Just to increase the body count I guess.
Not fully credible video as they recycle the same young soldier and first identify him as 16 years old then later show him again and say he is 12 years old. Hmmm

The US with help from a few countries defeated Japan all territories held by them were Relinquished . I don’t see a victory in Europe. How does declaring war, with Poland as the line in the sand, then fast forward 6 years and not only Poland but at least 17-18 additional countries are over run and pimped out for 50 years having their languages and histories destroyed. How is that a win?
