Battle and Liberation: The End of World War II | Countdown to Surrender - The Last 100 Days | Ep. 4

Ойын-сауық

The last days of the World War II are numbered. But before peace comes in May and with it the downfall of Hitler, liberators and liberated alike have to endure the unimaginable.
The last three months of dictatorship and war bring fanaticism, flight, civil courage, blindness, struggle and collapse. The last stand of a murderous regime in the Second World War.
The documentary provides an insight into this significant period in which the Wehrmacht waged a desperate "final battle", millions of people were on the run and the Red Army advanced inexorably. From the harrowing conditions in the concentration camps to the political intrigues in the Führerbunker - experience the moving story of this decisive phase of the Second World War. The documentary takes us through the battles, the liberations, the last days of the Third Reich and the moment when the guns finally fell silent on May 8, 1945. A look back at the hundred days that changed the world.

How is that a win?
