You do realize half of the shots if not more are either fully CGI, or enhanced by it? Nolan's general rule is start with a real shot, then CGI your action, then finish on a real shot...

I didn't realize in The Dark Knight they used miniature scale sets for the lower wacker drive scenes involving the concrete destruction. It was finished that good in Post that it looked incredibly realistic.

I love how it at least makes sense in this movie lolz. She's in shock and to learn batman is bruce during this moment might make her even more shaken which would make the poison act faster. She needed to stay calm for the best results of survival. Don't make things even more shocking than they already are... Even though you're running over pigz in a tank but... Whatever lolz. But in the third movie it's just like... Why ya talkin like that dawg? She knows brah like why? hahahah

Hans Zimmer is a true mastermind.

Love that subtle change back to his Bruce Wayne voice as he says “Just hold on” and when he shouts Rachel’s name.

The coolest, the most sick and the most ill car of all time, I love how it purrs and shrieks at the same time. Phenomenal feat of engineering. It's the Brad Pitt of Batmobiles; gorgeous, sexy, ultra masculine, alpha male and tough.

Batman: *Doesn't kill people* Also Batman: *Knows exactly how to flip a police car and send it flying 50 ft without killing anyone*

It was continuity error made during editing of the film. In the script, that bit happens a little early and ties into a unused shot of the Batmobile

No one- absolutely NO ONE- will EVER be able to convince me that there's a better Batmobile than this. A fucking 800 horsepower tank that can drive up to 100 mph and make giant leaps.

1:33 and 3:00 always annoyed me that the filmmakers didn't see this same extra being used twice so glaringly. he's either got a twin or he can teleport

This felt a very experienced batman that was just unstoppable to help his love interest. The batman was a raw beginner chase scene that would not give up and catch up to penguin. Both are still good and amazing in different ways.

both different. The Batman is really nitty and gritty. Wanting you to really be part of the chase. Here the goal is to big up the Batmobile as the merciless, powerful machine it really is. This chase isn't edited anywhere near as well as The Batman's. It's still fantastic. But for different reasons.

⁠@@erosion271I’m sorry but nothing about “The Batman” chase puts you in the middle of it. Nor is it better edited or film than this one. It completely lacks a sense of space, it feels detached from its environment, and overall fails to create any sense of emotion.

they shoulda kept him in this bat suite for the entire trilogy. he looks more animalistic in this suit then in the cut down version.

Always discovering something new with this great scene! Was rewatching as I visited the top of the garage in Dec. and just noticed the crew huddled in the covered entry way of the top right staircase near the vertical sign that says "PARK" - 00:01:31 mark.

Mannn I just started crying a lil actually. Haven't seen this epic scene in years and just now remembered how totally great it is haha. Movie came out on DVD on my brothers b day and I know he LOVED the movie when we first saw it in theaters and it was the perfect gift for him. Always love my brother he's the best : )

While the Batmobile is impressive here, what’s equally impressive is the Gotham PD is able to keep pace with it in their Crown Vics 😂

This part is perfect in so many damn ways, but the biggest one of them is the fact that it’s a prime example that you can implement humor without sacrificing anything. Not the personality of the characters, not the stakes or the feel of the scene, nothing.
