As soon as you said all the drawn shots were great my stress just floated away. Holy hell drawing both batman and iron man in there suits was some of the hardiest things I had to do as a perfectionist. SO happy they came out alright. The "Bust this" shot being my favorite to do. I upload the fight boards 1 or 2 days after the fight is out for people to see what it's like, and show things that couldn't make it and what not on my Deviant Art DYWTB-Nothing I've been animating for most of this season actually. Hell the next fight is going to have my art style all over the place.... great now my stress came back XD. I'm sure I did a decent job.

It's sad that the Batmobile gets used more in Iron Man vs Lex Luthor than it does in any of the Batman episodes and the Batwing just doesn't exist I guess. Not that either would have helped him beat Tony, but it's weird that such iconic parts of Batman's kit always get left out.

I didn't even think about that! Batman's famous vehicles have never appeared once as a part of his arsenal in Death Battle! They gave Joker the Jokermobile in his fight with Sweet Tooth, so why hasn't Batman gotten to use *his* main mode of transportation yet?

Imagine its a street chase to start with punisher in his punishermobile and they smash into each other and batman flips punishers car and punisher walks out of the flames terminator style and then they fight a lot and when punishers knocked down and about to die he suits up in his war machine suit and blasts batman away and then its like a cat and mouse deal but batman would win cause of his gadgets would disable the suit for him to go in for the final

For this death battle, as an Iron Man episode it’s pretty good but won’t surpass the masterpiece that is Iron Man vs Lex Luthor. As a Batman episode, not so much considering Batman vs Spider-Man is his best episode but it’s at least better than his fights with Black Panther and Captain America. So yeah it definitely deserves the 7/10, not as bad as some people are saying but by no means is it going to be anyone’s favorite episode. Edit: Also side note, I kind of wished Batman or Iron Man made a reference to the Iron Man vs Lex Luthor fight considering Iron Man kind of destroyed the Batmobile.

Agreed the Batmobile reference was a big miss opportunity further exasperated by the fact it would've been funny to see their A.Is (F.R.I.D.A.Y and Brother Eye) try to out-hack each other while giving backhanded comments to their creators.

Batman really said his most badass line miliseconds before using an attack that has a 95% chance to instantly kill him

Im actually okay with Dr. Doom destroying Lex Corp. He's such an ego maniac he would probably play it off as if Lex Corp was nothing but dirt compared to the technological ability of Latvaria.

Except he specifically went there to seize Luthors assets. And then proceeded to burn them all.

Counting every battles on Screwattack channel, Batman is the only character in their history who lost 6 times. Twice to Tony (DB and DBX), Spidey, Black Panther, Scorpion, and back when OMM was on that channel he lost to Wesker. His deaths are also some of the more brutal. Guy can't catch a break.

I’m glad you brought up the watch tower. Much like how bi-polar Blake was in her death battle, that was such a glaring issue for Bats to be hellbent on not shutting down the tower that he would consider murder (but opts out to smash Ironman with said tower anyway. Unless if the hellbat screws with your means of thinking that shouldn’t have happened).

Yeah I have that same problem as well Like I noticed in thanos vs darkseid one of his weapons they mention in the analysis for thanos is the cosmic cube But they don't use it in the animation, like I know they said in a DBC that it weaker then the infinity gauntlet but still it would have been cool to see thanos use it Granted I feel there was more you could have done in the fight itself but details

Yeah, it really brings into question of why even bothering to mention such a expansive and variable arsenal when at the end of the day they animated almost everything as a generic fist/gun fight with only 10% of the arsenal used.

@@jojomond7828 I know there’s so many matchup they did that had so much potential for animation like Flash vs Sonic Strange vs Fate Ben 10 vs Green Lantern all of those would’ve been awesome if Death Battle experimented more instead of just making them punching bricks with a casually laser last here or there really shows they don’t know who the characters are or how they fight makes me not excited for the next one Goku Black vs Reverse Flash which is another one that has a lot of potential for animation but knowing Death Battle they want to stay far away from that and just sick with the bare bones formula they got

They hyped this fight up so much for using “everything” then only giving Batman 1 armor in the animation

My problem with the fight was it was TOO SHORT,there was so much missed creativity,the animation is great but it just felt underwhelming like there was so much they could've done.

I cant wait for the unfortunate disappointment of Galactus vs Unicron bc it will be 1 minute of talking and 2 1/2 minutes of fighting. . It's like after like Season 6, they just like we can't continue making banger episodes that last for 5 minutes or more..

I 100% agree with everything said. I'm glad someone finally pointed out the stupidity of Batman destroying the tower and Tony sticking his nano suit on him while insude said tower instead of at the very end.

One thing that kinda bothered me was that they overused the "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" line. They say it at the start of the episode when they're introducing the characters, they say it again when they start talking about Tony, they show it on Tony's background and then Tony says it during the fight in a way that felt somewhat forced. It felt odd that they chose to reference that so many times.

When you realize that Batman has had less episodes in Death Battle with a voice actor where he’s a main combatant than episodes where he has a voice actor but isn’t a main combatant.

I actually agree with you in some points, what i felt was like they were trying to portray hellbat like it was in the invasion of apokolypse, i wanted batman to be more smart, but it was an 8/10 for me

As much as I love this episode, I agree that Batman vs Iron Man should have been a season finale so they could out more of anything into the episode such as Batman using more of his tactical mind and Iron Man showing more of his unique suits abilities. Despite that, I'm still pleased with the episode.

As soon as batman figures out tony who makes technology and suits and hacked into the watch tower, he gets the hell bat armor on that can be hacked so he throws him out of the watch tower and hits him with it. bro batmans smart enough to process that, as soon as he got in the hellbat suit he wouldve ripped tony and his suit into pieces so tony doesnt pull anything later.

It took a while for me to realize that Amazingly Miraculous was the background music for the Batman VS Spider-Man review segment. Thank you for using it!

Lex Luthor has hacked the hellbat as well, in fact it's the first thing he does upon seeing Bruce in the armor. Removing the trackers that the Justice League had placed in the hellbat unbeknownst to Bruce and improving its software with his own design. Considering that this world is probably the exact same one where Tony defeated Lex Luthor he probably has Lex Luthor's whole database including the specs on the hellbat if we're including that in Lex Luthor's database as he seized it from Lexcorp after Lex died the other thing is it shown that Tony has better hacking prowess than Lex Luthor in their crossover stories, extrapolating from that Tony could hack the hellbat just as well as Lex did.

Considering that Batman is a master strategist, and they technically exist in the same universe in Death Battle, then Batman should have had some kind of foolproof plan to deal with Tony in such an event, but he didn't here. It kind of bugs me.

He’s gone toe-to-toe with Gods. That nano-bot thing alone was bullcrap. Batman already has an understanding of nano technology on a scale Tony or his tech couldn’t compete with. And if you expect me to believe Bruce wouldn’t already have systems in place that only blocks his programs from being hacked and destroys, let alone one that would redirect the hack back on the hacker, creating a virus of his own, than you don’t know Batman…

After rewatching the episode, I believe the banter between Bruce and Tony could've been written to be way better imo. Then again it has the problem of simply not being Iron Man Vs Lex Luthor, so "ehhh..." I guess?

It's also kind of weird that Iron Man vs Lex had Tony bantering with Jarvis throughout the fight yet here Friday has no voice at all.

17:37 I am glad that someone point it out, I swear that I saw those frame pop ups like four times during the entire fight, two in the part of the preview, the one when the watch tower falls and when Tony uses the Hammer It didn’t affect my enjoyment of the fight, but it’s pretty distracting for me when I saw it Pretty good review

17:14 Thank you! The fact he destroyed the Watch Tower really annoyed me too! It made no sense considering Batman could've just used the Hell-Bat's Laser, (which was mentioned in the video!) to knock Iron-Man back down to Earth, which would prevent Iron-Man from shutting down the Watch Tower by keeping him busy fighting Bat-Man.

Alright, I haven't watched the iron man vs batman analysis, but one gripe I always had was how iron man always had the upper hand in the battle, and how batman seemingly doesn't know how to keep control of the battle despite how the analysis portrays batman as this super genius

The sad part, for me at least, is that Batman vs. Iron Man has the sole biggest issue that can plague any episode for me, it's sheer predictability. Just like Blake vs. Mikasa, as soon as the analysis was over, and even before that (when the episode was announced, let's be real) I already knew who was gonna take the W, and when the outcome is *blatantly* obvious like this I'm immediately pulled out of it, unless that's the actual point of the episode, such as Deadpool vs. The Mask. I will admit that I'm a bigger D.C. guy, and Batman is my favorite hero in all of fiction so I do have a bias. But even so, it doesn't usually bother me when the character I like loses and that is true here too. It's not that Batman lost that bothers me, it's that I had no hope whatsoever that Batman *could* win, and to me at least, that's just incredibly boring. I enjoyed the production, but this is a "one and done" episode for me. One that I will more than likely never rewatch because of the sour taste it left me with upon my first viewing.

But I do agree with how it seems like they have a stigma against having Batman win, though I will also admit that that may very well just be my bias clouding my eyes. Especially since I will admit that I know very little about Iron Man in comparison. But something I can point to in regards to that stigma is his previous fight with Black Panther. The Hellbat debuted in 2014, so he clearly wouldn't have had it in his fight with Spider-Man since that was way back in the day, but why didn't the DB team give it to him during his fight with Black Panther? The only answer I can come to is that it would make Batman to OP to fight Black Panther. But if they were concerned about one sided thrashings, why would they put Batman up against Iron Man at all? (or Mikasa up against Blake, like I mentioned earlier) I understand there's a balance to strike between these matchups being thematically appropriate vs. them being actual decent fights, and that sometimes that can be a hard balance to strike, but these Batman matchups (minus Captain American ironically) have all felt like they were intentionally skewed against Batman. Spider-Man is super human while Batman isn't and has the perfect counter measure to Batman's *literal* only means of possibly taking him down (the spider sense), Batman has no *standard* means of getting through Black Panther's Vibranium suit, and the DB team just flat out didn't let him use his stronger tools that could (like the Hellbat), and I don't feel like I even need to say anything about Iron Man. I had a gut feeling when this episode was announced that I was gonna come away from it feeling soured, and I was right. Because of all of this Batman is a character that I don't want to ever see in Death Battle again.

@@divine1196 Batgirl vs. Spider-Gwen was another obvious stomp, since it was practically just Batman vs. Spider-Man again but with women, so that was no shock. But I was legit surprised when they gave Winter Soldier the win over Red Hood. You're telling me that Red Hood on Venom would get dropped by Captain America Jr. when Batman dropped Cap without a performance enhancer? Sure why not.

I can forgive the Sol's hammer scene as both the suits were worn out, and the Hellbat was technically still in tact, just no longer functioning. And the Batman vs Spider-Man episode had more impact than Hulk vs Brolly. I did want more "Batman rolls for superior intelligence" "unsuccessful"

I agree that iron man would win but they did bets dirty. He didn’t get even half of his really op suits

It might sound weird, but I kinda wish we saw the Hellbat tearing through more of Tony's suits. Seeing him effortlessly demolish the Hulk and Thor busters or even stuff like the Iron Spider armor and Captain America's powersuit would've been so cool.

For me, the list of Batman episodes go: vs. Spider-Man > vs. Iron Man > vs. Black Panther > vs. Captain America. Great vid and explanation of your points as always, Nem!

Nice video man. Great breakdown of the episodes, man. Anyways, regarding the fight and how it went down, I agree that it should have been longer and I do believe that they should have used more of their armors (they brought up the Final Batsuit, the Model Prime Iron Man, and a bunch of other Iron Man armors). I don't think it was wrong for Batman to run away that day because if he got close when Iron Man had the suit on and ready for Batman, I feel like he would've been completely destroyed. Casual Batman VS Casual Iron Man is one of the most clear cut fights I can imagine (in the top 40, if I'm guessing). Iron Man would completely obliterate Batman in an all out fight before Batman even gets the Hellbat ready if he didn't run away. Also, I feel like they were both Lowballed in the fight. Not in the analysis, but just the fight. I mean, I don't engender it saying anywhere that Final Bat was stronger than Hellbat in the comics, so I feel like they could be comparable. But imma say it... even if the Final Batsuit was stronger than Hellbat, I still feel like the Godbuster armor would completely destroy it. As a matter of fact, the way they said the power scaling in the analysis just makes the beam struggle a load of BS. They said it could destroy the entire eSCAPE universe in a single blast yet it only destroyed a building in the clash. I get that Tony wouldn't let it all out at once, but it's still stronger than every other thing Iron Man created (as they stated). And sure the Hellbat could hold his own with Darkseid's avatar, which could destroy the DC universe which was bigger than our own like the Dragon Ball universe... but weaker armors than the Godbuster could hold his own against Thanos, who's comparable to Darkseid's avatar. And every time Batman fought Superman and won was a Superman that was suppressed in some way due to Red Sun energy or Kryptonite. Meanwhile, Iron Man has actually fight against beings comparable to Superman in all out fights (Thor and Iron Man weren't pulling punches in their fight). And they explained how the Final Batsuit's mind Manipulation wouldn't work on Iron Man too well to give him the edge in those black text boxes on the top right in the explanation. So Iron Man would still beat Batman even then. They need to stop putting Batman in fights with Marvel Characters. He loses everyone of them besides with Captain America... which I'm pretty sure was confirmed could go either way in the Marvel VS DC comics, which weren't canon, but I feel like their fight in the comic was more accurate with the way they were fighting. I feel like Cap VS Batman is a 50/50 when we're talking about their casual states.

I found it Iconic that all four of the recent Mavel vs Dc fight had the Marvel charther broke in or interrupted the DC charther and then the DC charther lost the battle

The Dyson sphere blew up planets at 2% power, full power is a little more, but it is a little odd. I only wish the Godbuster was used a bit more since they specifically said it was Tony’s answer to the hell-bat. I would’ve loved to see the Phoenix Buster as well

I wasn't a fan of this episode at first but i've really come to loving it after rewatches, honestly my only problems are that I wish the fight was longer, have a full on brawl against the Godbuster and the Hellbat instead of the few seconds we got. But overall i thought it was great, the analysis was top notch, the voice acting for both Tony and Bruce were great, the "bust this" line was genuinely one of the most badass lines in Death Battle. Its a solid 8/10 for me.

Normally Animation is no easy job. That could be one thing.

If i had to choose which Batman fight i prefer between the Ironman fight but not by much. There's so much that i love about it but i think the one thing that gets overlooked in this episode is how it shows the limitations of Batman's ability to prepare for whoever he fights. Sure Batman with prep time can godly, but most people tend to overhype it and think he can beat anyone with it. But clearly someone like Tony Stark is someone who can do that. I'm giving it an 8/10 just because of the shear effort that went into it.

Or simply Batman doesn't seek help. If he really wanted Supes help he has other means, even so, Supes can hear people. DB keeping is strictly 1v1.

How can Batman use all those suits right away? He is not Iron Man that can suit up and control all his suits super easy.. Your statement is invalid.

Totally agree, Batman can't Forged suits like Tony, Tony can forge a suit way faster than Batman.. Not mentioning Iron Man suits are stronger, the Hellbat wasn't even Forged by Batman...

Yeah he should have started with either the Justice Buster or one of his other power pack suits pack if he going straight into the Batman Beyond prototype bat suit and would have been better then going straight to the hell bat

Death battle got the information about the hell bat wrong, as the whole it drains his metabolism is outdated and has an improved armor that superior to the old hell bat.

@@DudeDudeDudeDude892 you do know that the celestials don't really compare to Darkseid right? The final batsuit is also a thing. Also he also used no suits, no gadgets, no stealth and no strategy. The animation may have been good but the writing was dookie for bats. Tony acted perfectly tho, 100% amazing Tony writing, so props to it for that.

if batman were to return and he couldn’t fight a marvel character who would you want him to go up against?

I made some points when I saw the premiere. I knew from the start who would win, and explained why. I wasn't accurate in my explanation but I did say it looks like Batman would lose. It's because people don't care for Batman anymore... every bad comment about his is 'plot armour' arguments, or 'if he had prep time'. If Batmans ability is prep time, it'd be included in the DB, but it's not like he's the only one capable of planning for an enemy.

It was included in this fight though. Because the beginning of the fight establishes that these two characters are aware of their existence.

i kinda wish the fight was a season finale and went like this: Tony and Bruce in base forms fighting in the watchtower (Tony dominating when he actually hits bats, but Bruce is leading the fight by dodging and trying to get Tony in an advantageous spot before both get blasted out of the Watchtower) Tony and Bruce land in a desert/some empty place and get to use some of their sillier gadgets (Stuff like the bat-spray), this time Tony is leading the fight with Bruce having to be the one reacting and predicting Tony's next moves. (Possibly both of them could bust out a new suit) After this, the Justice Buster and Hulkbuster are both brought out along side other strong suits like the thorbuster and the Thrasher. This causes a giant mech war ending with Batman's Justice Buster being overwhelmed and him forcing to resort to the Hellbat to start gaining an advantage. Tony busts his godbuster out and both seem somewhat evenly matched. From here I see 2 outcomes: Tony Winning: Batman gets an advantage over the godbuster and is about to blast Tony's now-exposed head into dust before he turns around and realises all his mechs were hacked during the mech war. Bruce then fights off his own suit's, slowly wearing himself down and Tony recovers. Finally, Bruce turns back and is met face-to-face with the Godbuster's canon. In one blast, Bruce's armor is torn off by the beam before being disintergrated Iron Man vs Lex style. Bruce Win: Bruce is pressing his advantage over Tony and is about to deliver a lethal blow until Brother Eye and the Dyson Spehre both come crashing down, destroying all of the suits. The fist fight between Tony and Bruce plays out again even with Bruce being covered in a nano suit, and exploding. But after this "death" Tony hear's the voice of Bruce and looks up to see a silver and gold batsuit taking form over the weakened Batman. As Tony is in shock, Batman's Final Batsuit lets out a massive sonar signal as a massive swarm of bats charges towards Tony, slowly scratching at him to end his life. The last thing Stark seeing being the bright gold symbol of the batman burning through the black swarm of bats.

They really do be doing Batman dirty with these death battles

Despite being the mascot of returning fighters, none of his fights go past "Okay" The ending pretty shit too, since it's just has effectively the same thing happens twice (with Batman just needing to land one fatal blow, before getting stopped and blown up).

I was half expecting Batman to die and then come back with a Black Lantern power ring

I think i had the Lex vs Doom problem where I overhyped myself. The musics weirdest point to me is how the Batman theme plays AFTER he dies, like what?! If that was to trick peeps who heard the track early it definitely didnt work! We dont even have the track out yet as im typing this! Anyway, fun episode but its also just mid af to me. Next time tho is gonna be sooooooo much fun.

I figured that he didn’t use the nanosuit earlier because he didn’t know if the Hellbat could react to it or remove or counter hack it or something? Like that’s why he at least wanted Bruce OUT of it first? Most of the rest of this makes sense though. Only smart thing I saw from Bats was Batman flying in front of one of the armors and tricking another suit into blasting it. Literally nothing else.

Actually the scene where the hell bat got hit with the laser from the sun. He doesn't destroy the hellbat, the hell bat just gets buried. And since he can't use it anymore since it's hacked he jumps out of it. To fight him

A big problem I had with the fight is that they hype both characters up to be literal god-tier in power, being able to defeat beings who can destroy multiverses. I accepted to see shit like that but all we got is half a city blowing up. It massively undersells their power and misses out on the incredible potential for galaxy-busting combat. Sure when it is on a smaller scale I can really feel the impact of their power which is great, but it just completely contradicts their stats. For me, this fight feels like the opposite of Hulk vs Broly. Great feel of impact but not enough scale. Could have been so much more, but I shouldn't be too disappointed. In my eyes, we haven't gotten a truly great Marvel vs DC episode since Hulk vs Doomsday.

29:23 apparently Liam took interest in Batman vs Snake, so later that might not be the case

Yeah I don't think the Dyson Sphere attack actually be at much to the hellbat suit. He was hacked which I don't see how Tony managed to hack come but I'll wave that aside because billion Playboy genius philanthropist hacks got to come from somewhere. Batman ejected himself after the Dyson spear attack because with his suit hacked he's probably felt that it would take too long to get it up and running properly and doing so might actually kill him as it started drawing more and more from his metabolism

I really like this analysis and the previous battles and while I love the characters and would like more of that.....let's be real. DB doesn't care about the characters themselves, they care about the fight, because that's what we came for at the end of the day. At most, they'll care about the voice acting and a some of their personality.

Death Battle almost always without fail completely removes any sense of intelligence from the characters they want to lose. This is the reason why every battle with Batman just seems boring due to the fact of what makes him an interesting character is his intelligence, like yeah physically he can't beat darkseid but his strategies and thorough thinking are what lead him to victory and overall make the fight more interesting.

Speaking fo snake vs fisher, will we ever get a review of it? Its just about the best db ever.

Besides the suits, both batman and iron man could hack each other or out smart each in the fight. Personal it better play out on them being smart then see them using armor.
