Superman should have just been classified as a force of nature, and people should behave as such. You don't call a hurricane to show up to court. Just get superman insurance and be prepared to be rescued or killed as a circumstance of whatever villain is fighting him.

Funny Maybe the recut is better but when I saw this at the movies I truly thought it would be a great movie, and it should have been, but it was one of the few films I've nearly walked out of ha ha. Lex baffles me the most, he acts more like Joker than Lex for me, when I read that both were meant to be in it and they merged the characters it made a lot of sense why he wasn't like Lex for me. Each to their own

Superman can move faster than the speed of sound. Surely, he could have taken that bomb out of there in time or em i missing something here 😕

Insurance must be insanely fucking over priced in both the MCU and DC universe imagine going to work and having to call in because superman sneezed and now half your apartment complex is gone, or the incredible hulk threw your car at an alien 👾 the cost of living is already high enough as is. Lex deceived the Senator into the hearing as legitimate when it was really just a ruse for him to blow up the capitol. It was also his revenge on the senator for blocking his import license on the radioactive kryptonite and another way to shed doubt on Superman.

In a previous scene, lex volunteers to help that character and as a gesture of good faith, he gifts him a brand new chair... Which is made out of lead. Superman cannot see through lead. A very subtle way of showing how much knowledge he has.

What a shit movie. Superman would have known the chair was rigged in so many different ways. Smell, x ray vision, hearing, even if the chair was coated in lead which the world didnt know he couldnt see through at that time. Also why does she react so weirdly to the jug? How did she not see that before she sat down? Any normal person would have seen it and been like... "thats weird" and seen the label then turned it.

There are so many different Supermans across multiple mediums with each having their own feats. Snyder Superman has never been shown to even come close to the speed of light in the Snyder movies. In DC, the speedsters have the speed force which allows them to navigate the world beyond super speeds while negating physics (i.e. not hurting others they interact with). Even if Superman was fast enough, he doesn't have that ability. Quicksilver (like pretty much any superhero in Marvel/DC) has inconsistencies that allows him to "save the day". Saving Magneto from prison, you hear talk about whiplash when hes going not even the speed of sound...but in the mansion scene hes multitudes faster none of that is brought up because that would destroy the plot.
