I'm right there with you he still had so much potential for his Batman and Whedon, Flash's director, and WB did batffleck dirty for now even cutting his last cameo from Aquaman I understand James didn't want it to start something worse in the fanbase that wasn't gonna come but we deserved one real long final moment for him WB really made the DCEU terrible since they hired Whedon who they thought could take Zack's place but they were wrong same was said for Amber heard as mera everyone has known and still knows Emilia Clarke deserved the Mera role because of her better working chemistry with Jason yet they screwed up

The warehouse fight scene in bvs is one of my favorite scenes ever.

The only thing shocking is Ben affleck hasn’t got his own movie..awsome Batman

Batfleck’s entrance was so badass. The shot of him in the Flying Fox gave me chills.

I do like Ben Affleck's Batman voice here. The voice modulator is cool, but he sounds really cool here just doing a normal Batman voice. Awesome scene. And his suit does look pretty cool in action. Ben's Batman and Jeremy's Alfred were awesome!

The Batman (2021) was supposed to be Ben’s solo movie, then between the poor direction the franchise was taking and Ben’s alcohol struggles, he was ousted and replaced with Pattinson.

Affleck was supposed to Direct/Write the film too, with that being a lot of work, he alcohol troubles, and the fact the character and films to that point had not been generally received that well, HE decided to leave the project. DC then got Matt Reeves to replace him as project lead, and he decided the take the film outside of the DCEU, and then he cast Pattinson.

I still can't believe they canceled his solo movie and Man of Steel 2, but we're getting two freakin seasons of Peacemaker. PEACEMAKER.

Great to see Batfleck again, no auto-tuning of the voice, not killing people. It would've been so much better with practical effects, even with stuntmen, than CGI, but something's better than nothing.

The CGI may have been a flop but for me I'm glad to see Batfleck in action once again😮 I can't wait for The Batman Part 2 and Batman: The Brave and The Bold

Unfortunate how dirty they did Ben Affleck if they ever do a Batman Dark Knight Returns live action I hope they cast Ben as Batman again and Henry Cavil as Superman

This is probably Ben Affleck Batman best scene

theres a difference between "noticeable CGI" and "bad CGI". The CGI in this sequence was noticeable, but i wouldnt call it bad. Sure it isnt ultra realistic and there is detail missing, but (personally) it didnt take me out of the sequence or influenced my appreciation of it. THE CGI IS FINE, it just sounds like people are repeating the main negative criticism this movie got.

What kind of logic is that? CGI is meant to look realistic. It is to work with the visual effects of the film-not against it. If the CGI is noticeable, then it is bad; there is no difference between them.

CGI is also used in a stylistic way, where the director can want things to look a certain way despite not looking realistic. If you go into a movie hoping everything is realistic, why the fuck are you watching a movie about a man dressed as a bat using super tech and a young adult who can go back in time? How do you expect going back in time to be realistic if you aint ever seen it? Expecting CGI to fit a certain style then getting mad that it didnt isnt entirely on the CGI's fault, your expectation also hindered your judgement

This is a LIVE ACTION movie meaning that everything fake in this movie has to look realistic or else it contrasts the art style of the movie. Your art style needs to be coherent, so you can’t have a realistic world with obvious unreal cgi. We all expect CGI to fit into the style that is being portrayed-having the flash looking like a ps2 character is not fitting the style of the film. Thanos isn’t realistic, but his CGI is good because it reflects real life principles like seeing the pores and hairs on his skin. Alita Battle Angel had good cgi even though the character looked like an anime girl the way it was presented followed looks real and followed real life principles; It maintained an art style, while still looking believable. What art style is the flash going for? It’s not. It is just a generic live action movie therefore it’s CGI failed to bring in mystical elements into real life. It’s lazy cgi made by overworked people. Stop defending garbage.

If you need to see all the pores and hairs on a characters face in order to be immersed, thats on you, but not everyone is like that. If the sequence in itself still checks the boxes of what makes an exciting chase but the only thing lacking is the CGI, i can give it a pass since it fulfills the story beat. Saying Thanos isnt realistic when thats the whole angle they were going for is kind of wild to me. The reason why Thanos NEEDED that level of detail and digital realism is because of what he meant to the story. You needed to connect with the character in order to understand his motives, how are you going to do that if you're too distracted by the CGI? Thanos needed good CGI because it was essential to the story. The point of the sequence is to thrill the audience and immerse them in the action, not have a dramatic story beat, therefore the CGI doesnt need to be the best. Besides, after all this, do you really think youd enjoy The Flash more if it had more realistic CGI? CGI never ruins a movie, but it can emphasize the problems the movie has, especially when the script is weak. It's fun to make fun of a bad movie, but i find it more fun to find those little bits and pieces that work when you take them out of the bigger picture.

This scene actually had better cgi, probably because it was filmed first. Every scene in the movies that Ben Affleck's Batman is in, he's always the coolest. (Except for some of the bad Josstice League ones). I wish Keaton's Batman met Ben's in this movie.

Batfleck. Complete waste of a good character by the DCEU people. Had so much potential to be a solid Batman and should have had his own solo movie. At least they did him justice in that warehouse fight scene in BVS.

@@peaceunion5316 ok, hear me out. I liked the movie, not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it had its moments. Batfleck's appearance was one of the highlights for me (too bad that it was mixed with that horrid cgi baby bs). the one issue is that his suit looks ugly as hell for some reason, it looks fake and rubbery. when he's appeared in Suicide Squad, Josstice League, the suit always looked wrong and the cowl looked off. sadly, his scene in The Flash is no different in that regard. otherwise I do like what Muschietti did with the action and the emotional send-off he gave him. still, in my opinion, no one has been able to film Batfleck and do his suit justice quite like Snyder did, both in BvS and his cut of Justice League.

Zack used a very dark tone and colour palette for his films which obscures the suit slightly, making it look different than if it’s shown in lots of light, like here. I like that here Bruce is wearing a daytime suit with a blue cowl and brighter grey body. I see how it looks different compared to snyder but I don’t think it’s that bad either

What sucks is half the reason we got Battinson is because Ben respects the character so much, that he factually didn't believe he could do the character justice, so he backed out. Remember this dudes friends with Kevin Smith for decades at this point. I don't think it's possible to hang out with Kevin for longer than 5 minutes before he's ranting about some obscure comic writers run on blue beetle or some shit from the early 70's. So you're either into what Kevin is talking about or you suddenly realize you have some place you need to be inexplicably. I read a quote from Ben doing press for this that was something like "It's likely the last time I'll play Batman but I can't help but think I finally think I figured out how I'm suposed to play him just now. If only he believed in himself in the first place, Battinson would never have happened.

I went to see the movie with my grandpa who grew up with the late 40s-60s Comics and The driver just deciding he’d rather jump out of a moving car than face Batman genuinely made us laugh! That’s the kind of humor Batman SHOULD be involved in. He shouldn’t be cracking jokes like Josstice League. The humor with Batman should be more situational and ABOUT him than FROM him. Like a lot of the humor in Justice League the animated series he’s involved in is either characters (usually his teammates) making fun of his sternness and lack of humor or jokes/nods to the absurdity of the character. Like the scene in the show where the security guard enters a room Batman is searching and is so scared of Batman that he just decides to lie to his fellow guard about seeing anything because it’s the safer option! Like he’s a normal guy but he’s so absurdly intimidating that guys just prefer to not be stupid and avoid fighting him!

YEAH, THE COMIC ACCURATE🤯

I wasn't sold on the "Honeycomb" armor at first, but seeing it in action, especially with the wings, it really pops out. Must be pretty durable stuff as well to handle being pulled around in traffic like that.

The score in this movie is unfortunately one of the most mid things about it but that little theme for Batfleck’s entrance was very cool, going with a very cool shot. The shot and the score had a very BvS Batman feel to it. Side note: I always found it disappointing that Batfleck’s original theme didn’t stick around. It’s not in either cut of Justice League and here they go for something similar but still different. Meanwhile Wonder Woman can’t be on screen without her BvS theme blaring in the background.

I like Ben Affleck as BATMAN, the older batman in his 50s or so. Looks similar to that from dark knight returns. Even his metal suit from Superman fight resembles.

@@adarsh2004 Its basically the same as TDKR. His batman is basically a semi knock off of that one too

If you notice, Affleck is the only LA Batman that can move his cowl eyebrow at 3:19

"Somebody has to save the rest of the world." FINALLY a movie has a line that has Batman make sense in the DC universe! 😂😂

This whole scene gave me Christian Bale vibes for some reason. Keaton's scenes gave me Kevin Conroy Arkham games vibes.

Great more super fast CGI "what the fuck is going on?" scenes. Haven't had enough of those...

when someone steals a biological weapon Batman shows up immediately. But when Harley caused a mess in Birds of Prey he didn't even dare show his face... 🫤

Well at that time Ben Affleck quit being batman so they decided to just talk about him instead of showing him I think..

i loved this sequence, dont get the hate.

If this is the type of Batman action we can expect in the brave and the bold then I’m down. The director of this Andy muschietti is doing that movie as well atleast for now, with this being such a huge financial flop they might end up kicking him off of the project and picking another director

Ezra and the godawful CGI made it flop. The Batman sequences are nuts awesome!

I never was a fan of a tanked up Batman since the Christopher Nolan movies. This action sequence alone was so damn good tho. But they really took it above and beyond with Keaton's batman. I simply love my Batman to be fast and nimble. Especially when he jumps out from the shadows.
