I love how detailed your videos are! They have been so helpful for me as I have a very similar project. My question is, did the mesh tape and thin set plus hydroban on the backer board seams make it difficult to have a flat surface to tile on? Did you use slightly less thin set/tile mortar over those areas to keep the surface flat for tiling? Thanks again!

I still haven't gotten back to this project, but I was careful to not build up the seams too much with material. The thinset applied to the walls and buttered on the back of the tiles should make tiling over the seams, well, seamless.

I have sprayed styrofoam behind densshield is it ok?

My understanding is that open cell foam that is typically sprayed into residential wall cavities can be covered by DensShield, since the foam only acts as an air barrier and not a moisture barrier.

You could use an inside corner trowel to apply the thin set. This would get it right into the corner. Then use the 4” to tight wipe each side down. This would be much faster.
