Introduction to Catasetinae (inclusive of Catasetum - Clowesia - Cycnoches - Dressleria - Galeandra - Grobya - Mormodes)
Understanding the Catasetinae growth cycle is the utmost important knowledge to successful culture. There are two distinctive period, dormant period and active growth. Ensure you transition gradually between the two phase so the plant doesn’t go into shock.

If it has two new stems with flowers that are about to open, how should you water? Misting, heavily water? Fertilize? Note: no leaves present l, just the main bulb with two stems and two pseudo bulbs

Hi! Wondering if you leave previous roots alone when repotting prior to the new growth season or trim them? I am brand new to Catasetum - I have one plant and it has new growth of about an inch.

Hi. I got a black pearl yesterday from your shop. It has a big stem with leaves. I don’t know how frequently I need to water it now and when you mention increase watering in the video, I don’t know increase it compared to what? Could you please guide me what to do?

For Tropical country like Malaysia, does the plant goes into dormant state cycles?

Yes these have a strict growth cycle. It may not be synced with the seasons, but it will go through each stage
My Cycnodes are in dormancy and I noticed a mushy bulb, can I remove it now or wait to repot it in the spring ?

Either is ok, you can let it go fully yellow / dry off to remove. just don't let it rot in the pot
