BASH pro Active H-Shifter

The Bash Pro Active H-Shifter is the first active sim racing shifter using a gate locking feature powered by real time in-game telemetry data.
Above the standard features an H-shifter offers, the Bash Pro features tactile feedback when a gear is engaged. Whenever gear engagement conditions are not met, the gate remains in a closed state, which physically prevents you from moving the gearstick into gear. Upon every gear change, a servo motor actuates a trigger mechanism that releases the gate lock in the matter of a few milliseconds.

Perhaps a bit trivial, but it would be nice to have a 8 gear version to have a separate reverse position. Is this something that is in the works? I'm on the waitlist but if an 8 speed version is in the future I would rather my position goto someone else for now

Question will this device be usable and easy to detect in even older titles? Also what if you don’t want to use clutch, will you be able to close sim hub and the shift work just normally?

Any title works actively that simhub supports. Depending on the game, you can use dogbox mode without a clutch. If you close simhub, or play a title that simhub doesn't support, you can use it like a regular shifter. Dogbox mode allows shifing instantly, H-sync mode adds a short delay before opening the gate. Wreckfest is a good example for an unsupported game.

@@gerzsone30 Thank you for taking the time for this response! The software is an incredible idea. Do you have any idea on how it feels? I was initially considering buying a pro-sim h shifter before I saw this.

@@fishblade2 It is difficult to tell how it feels. If I tell you it feelss nothing like anything else, does it help? :D The goal for the design was, apart from having an active lock, was to make something that feels right when used together with a 20Nm simucube base. It can be light when you shift mildly, but it can feel very strong when you want to be quick with the shifts. You won't just slap it from one gear to the next with an effortless move. You need to work it.

How fast can we shift with this? will there a delay from from the gate opening/closing?

The feedback loop between Simhub and the shifter, including the speed of the servo, takes about 30 milliseconds. That is how long it takes for the gate to open for a shift. That is roughly 2 frames at 60fps.

@@gerzsone30 I would like to understand: concretely, what does your model have more than a classic e-clutch shifter, such as the "NSH SimGear" (based on the "SRT by Lebois" project)? I discover the subject. I saw that you can shift without a clutch, using the right engine speed, like in a real car, it's so realistic, I'm fascinated, congratulations.
