As someone who has played baseball/watched baseball all my life, this is the best visual explanation of baseball I have seen. Well done!

I can guarantee he did not get it. Not to say the explanation is bad, I guess, it's just that the game makes no sense to regular people. Like, you play soccer, the objective is clear, and so are the rules - score a goal in the opponent's net, don't be the last friendly player standing near to the friendly goal, no hand play and no hard foul. Those are basically the rules to soccer. Simple and everyone can get it. This, not so much. Also, the formation in soccer, but it's easy to understand.

@@sarac.3568 absolutely true, it really seems so many unnecessary and complicated reules in baseball, and the game is literally pureuck not much skill is needed as compared to cricket! Someone has said it nicely 'if baseball is ludo cricket would be chess'😂

As an Australian who had never played baseball and grew up with CRICKET, it was very difficult for me to understand this sport... When I was a kid I used to watch Doraemon, in which I literally didn't understand it LoL 😆 After watching this video, I've started to understand it a bit better! Thank you!!! 🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰❤️💗

Nice! I do have question for you. During MLB seasons teams are scheduled to play a match almost everyday and a game is 3 hr long. I wonder how do fans keep up with the season? 3 hr everyday seems like a lot of commitment. Does fans watch all the games or only the important ones?

@@TheSchoolOfSports it depends how committed a fan is. I tend to watch whenever I'm available, but not everyone does. Also people sometimes watch parts of games and not the whole thing. When I do miss games, I watch the highlights or look at the statistics afterward

It is one of those sports that ypu actually learn by playing. It is very easy afterwards but I agree that there are a lot of rules at the beginning. I would encourage you to play it.

As someone who grew up playing cricket it's surprisingly easy to understand. Also, as others pointed out, this video explains it really well, starts from the crux and expands on it. Great explanation.

Good explanation. One minor point: no one really ever talks about a baseball "match." It's pretty much always called a game. Match is used in cricket, baseball's distant cousin.

"Best explanation ever" A formular 1 video will also be great.

This is by a country mile the best explanation I have ever seen of Baseball. As a Cricket fan, I was always interested in understanding baseball on TV. But could never comprehend. This helps a lot.

By far the most comprehensive explanation for Beginners! So many of these videos are short and end up leave me with questions and no answers. Others take too long to get to the point and are not easy to navigate. This video is a great balance of both while leaving no potential question unanswered and plenty of examples to reiterate the points. Love it! Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your effort, the clear explanation, examples as well as the amazing, detailed visuals just make this the best guide to baseball i could've found. Just enough information in just enough time that i could already see where the fun and beauty of the game is.

Thanks for your video. Just a minor correction, the batsman is the cricket player, the batter is the baseball player. You described many situations in the game, and there is a terminology for them. Here are a few eg. when the pitcher tries to get a stationary runner out at 1st, 2nd or 3rd base it's called a pickoff; when the pitcher wants a runner to think he'll attempt a pickoff, and in that way keeps the runner close to his base, it's called 'holding the runner'; if all bases are loaded and the batter hits a homerun, scoring 4 points it's called a grandslam.

I recently started watching baseball whilst visiting the States. We have a game in the UK that is kind of similar (rounders), but baseball seems to have a lot more going on. I love the anticipation of what might happen next because there are so many possible outcomes within each innings.

Baseball has the most depth of all the sports I know well

Good explanation. One exception on foul balls. If a player tries to bunt with two strikes, and he fouls it off, he's out. Third strike. It's just with bunting.

It’s a good explanation honestly. There are of course some things which aren’t mentioned, but this covers the majority of baseball scoring and rules. Good video for people who know nothing about baseball.

Coming from cricket, of course it's a little complicated to a newbie's eye. But all in all, sounds like a super fun game. I think the rules add to the fun and make it more of a strategis game rather than simply hitting a ball as it seems to a newbie's eyes. Thank you for explaining it so well.
