Fun fact - baseball which is roughly 140 years old, was basically derived as a version of Cricket, which is being actively played since roughly 300+ years. Both are amazing! Edit: First mentions of formal county teams playing Cricket dates as back as 1709. First laws were written in 1744 for both men's and women's cricket. Famous MCC was founded in Lord's ground in 1787, the ground is called the Home of Cricket. 🏏

Yes they are a very good team and one of the oldest, going back to the 1880's.They use to be the brooklyn dodgers before 1958.there are plenty of full baseball games on youtube including the dodgers.

@@CapitaoAmerica737 nope! That means that he was selected to play in the all-star game which is tomorrow. At midseason they select the best of the best to play in the all-star game. It's the NL vs the AL.

For the those North Americans who enjoy a fast, high adrenalin summer sport may I suggest the T20 variant of cricket which has become very popular since its inception a few years ago. Unlike 'First Class' cricket T20 is usually played in the evening over a period of only about three hours. Enjoy!

Cheers mate for us south Asians & English people baseball is like 5 days test match where 5 days is packed in 9 innings with fewer scores. Better to watch t20 cricket ( 3 hrs ) where games goes to last ball with higher scores.

Watch jomboy baseball breakdowns and just whatever free games are on KZread, you can pick up on the rules, and there’s this woman who explains all the different stats from the most basic to more complex ones, her channel is Ashley MacLennan. If you get really into it Secret Base, Foolish baseball, and MLB network are my favorite baseball analytic channels. The jomboy videos are a good start because they’re short and funny but also assume prior knowledge.

Richard Glenn cricket is like baseball but only two bases where you run back and forth with your batting partner, there are also a lot more 'homeruns' in cricket as they hit the ball further a lot more for 6's, which is 6 points, only big difference is the bowler and pitcher, cricket has bowlers they have fast balls, spin balls, offballs many type of different balls are thrown at the batter, and there are 10 outs not 3 then you switch to fielding, kind of the same sport but baseball is just an americanised version

As a european I never really understood this sport or gave it any interest but it looks an awful lot like a game we used to play in p.e. You'd hit a volleyball with your fist into a crowd of people and try to get through as many checkpoints as possible before the ball made its way back to the starting spot. At times we some even managed to run a full court of checkpoints without stopping which is what I think might be similar to the homerun

And I'd rather watch Football than boring soccer. What's so funny about watching guys run up and down a field for an hour and a half?
